Well now I feel stupid. That never crossed my mind even though all my dogs have that. If I find her she's staying locked up till I get her one. That's definitely an argument I can win. 'cats shouldn't be collared' my ass

I'm sure she will turn up. Maybe you should get her chipped or a tracker and a collar?

I have tried. Trust me. I do my best to keep her safe as well as avoid the yelling.
And thanks. I know it could have been prevented and I feel like shit that she could be gone

Hello

You could still try and bargain with whoever else makes decisions about her tell them her safety is at risk she would be fine missing outside and other cats is way better than being in danger

If it was my decision only she would be solely indoor

She could. I completely agree and believe you. It also can't happen because I'm not the only one in the house making decisions. And she'd miss her friends. I actually have 9 other cats who are solely outdoor. And I love them all dearly. She's just a very special one to me

We do plenty of things that animals don't like or make them unhappy for their health. Most animals see vet visits as traumatic, but those are still needed. Cat will learn to deal with being indoors

My cat was once out doors/indoors until she started to never want to come inside only on her terms if there was a window open. She loved being out side but I could not handle her being gone for days. So she became an indoor cat and has been off the last 6 years and she is perfectly happy and content inside. Just make sure they have lots of toys and places to climb

I look at it as do you want a cat that's begging to go or a possibly injured one that's how I see it

I feel like she could get used to it her being antsy to go outside is well worth it when her safety could be at risk but that's just my opinion

I wish but thats impossible unless I want to watch her be unhappy. As much as she loves the inside, she loves freedom too. I tried. Two weeks was her limit before she was throwing a fit and slipped out. She came begging back to be inside after a few hours though so she wasn't mad. She just loves roaming her fields

I'm getting a horse that was hurt on the race track.. He was sold for 20K as a yearling and raced 5 races until one day he was loading into a trailer and slipped and fractured his back leg. So he was sent to a rescue and his name is Mr. President. He is the most beautiful horse i have ever saw in my entire life. And now he is mine :)

My mom once had a horse named Kit from the race track. This mare was also loading into a trailer and she slipped and skinned her front legs so they just sold her for cheap.

Yeah, I know a guy whose (speed event) horse totally shattered his front leg. A year later, that horse is back up and running!!
Congratulations, Wise!

I wouldn't suggest using a horse who has fractured a hind leg for another heavy duty speed event - barrel racing. Poor dude would probably do much better with some chill flat work/trails if he even recovers enough to be sound let alone ridden again...

You might want to start slowly retraining him, because racehorses are taught that when you pull they should run faster. Not the most fun thing to happen when you're running at a barrel and pulling back a little, trying to turn it, LOL
