Oh my gosh, that's such a shame! She was beginning to look so much more healthy, too. I'm heartbroken, but at the same time, she lived to an old age (especially considering her tough past). I'm glad she was able to pass away knowing she was loved and had been well cared for.

That's so sad. At least you made her last little while enjoyable. She definitely looked like an old one. We had 2 tb mares pass away since the new year. Both went peacefully. One was 31 and the other was 25. They were long retired race horses and hadn't done anything other than eat in many years. Your girl looked pretty good weight wise for one so old. I'm glad she got such a great home.

Yes. It is. She was 27 and had a really hard life. I'm surprised she lived to 27. Miss her greatly.

How is the colt doing without Velvet?

Hes doing great. He was moved back in January.
