He's not going to be grey if neither of the parents are.

Could be frost. Not the appy pattern, but mane/tail frosting Edited at April 16, 2021 07:16 PM by Stormsong Manor

He does look palomino as a foal but looks buckskin now. As suggested possibly a very smutty palomino? I have a palomino that is far from standard myself.

Daddy could be silver bay. That would give some lighter mane and tail details. If dad has silver and mom has cream, your boy there could be a smoky cream. Grey needs to be out of the question because it is a dominant gene and neither parent has it. Edited at April 17, 2021 09:45 PM by Ride or Die

Grey was suggested because his graddam has it, and it could have been passed on through his dam but not visible with her cream.

The mom's entire family is gray. If she was born cremello and started turning a very light gray, she would still have the pink skin and blue eyes to make her look cremello. She could even be homo gray considering both her parents are gray. The colt is probably palomino base, since he looks like a 100% normal palomino as a baby, and the gray on him could just be coming out dark. It's doubtful that he's buckskin since he was born with light colored legs and a white mane and tail. More than likely, palomino hidden under gray.
