Denni is a strong horse, bits are only as severe as the hands that use them. I’d rather have a stronger bit and be able to use light aids than have a snaffle in and have to use stronger aids to stop, then ruining the horses mouth Edited at January 28, 2021 08:47 AM by Zomb

Thank you! charlie is a old man now >.< he was my horse when I was 9, and he was 13 then, and ten years on he's my sisters 🥺 so he's 23 . Doesn't act like it though haha!

Just want to say I use the exact same bit you use on Denni on my Mustang. It's a great bit for strong horses

It is! He's far to strong for a snaffle! hence a stronger bit with lighter hand aids! Can't fault him one bit :D Edited at March 7, 2021 08:17 PM by Zomb

I might need to get a bit like Denni's. I just got a halflinger that hasn't been ridden without throwing someone in 9 years. Hadn't even been led around in 2 years. This thing has immeasurable strength in her neck, and while the bit I'm using has her in check, I want to switch her to something less severe once she calms down. My next lightest bit is way lighter, so I've got my eye out for something in the middle.

Honestly, I wouldn't know what to say without seeing the horse via video or riding myself. But any bit with do the trick. ANY bit is as severe as the hands that use them. So do what you feel as though you need to do. with me mainly show jumping, I know I can handle Denni with light aids in this bit. You do what you feel you need to. Your horse will tell you if he/she isn't a fan

I love Denni's bridle. It looks so cool. If I start riding english, I'll definitely be buying one if only for the look and to leave it hanging in the tack room and use for pictures. Edited at March 9, 2021 10:15 AM by Deadman Wonderland
