It's just the style of bridle. I'm American and my micklem bridle is the same way :)

I just wanted to say, A) oh my goodness the cuteness is overwhelming in the first post! And PoPo looks like he was an absolute gem. And B) Denni looks super relaxed in that bridle, he looks like he accepts it happily and if that allows him to do his job and you're light with your hands, then whatever works!

The micklem (autocorrected to mock LeM, lol) has a throat latchy type thing, but just nothing at all is kind of weird. I've seen bridles like that fall off horses a few times, so that's a bit of why they're a little suspicious to me. But if that's what your horse is happy with, go for it :)

Ah I have seen it happen. Falling off a horse. And trust me, I'm still suspicious of it to this day LOL I'm always giving it the side eye like don't you be falling off now 👀🤣 but what matters most to me is Denni seems to prefer this bridle over the Others I've tried in the past. And that's 100% what matters to me ☺️ Witchwood Warmbloods said: I just wanted to say, A) oh my goodness the cuteness is overwhelming in the first post! And PoPo looks like he was an absolute gem. Thank you! PoPo is real special to me. Always will be ☺️

This thing has immeasurable strength in her neck, and while the bit I'm using has her in check, I want to switch her to something less severe once she calms down. My next lightest bit is way lighter, so I've got my eye out for something in the middle.
she may have just not been started right? a horse named bandit was at my aunts place and we found out he was started really wrong and he would buck and rear he threw alot of riders maybe work on ground work before getting her a bit like, that its kinda severe even for a horse that is stronger.

She was definitely started right. I decided a couple days ago to try acting mad at her and try out the spurs for a ride, and she was a totally different horse. Pretty much marched up to her aggressively when I caught her and held more angry posture on the ground. Spun like a reining horse when I asked, slid to a stop, and gave me a nice western pleasure trot out in the pasture. Her thing is that she was owned by a cautious person that didn't know a lot about horses for 9 years, and her way of getting out of things was to act spooky. When I told her I don't care if she's spooking in the pasture she lives in, she calmed right down.

PoPo I was going through some old photos, and these popped up 🥺😭 in these images he's roughly 28/29. Maybe a year or two younger.. Yes That's a dog on board with me 🤣 we won the horse and hound show jumping, so I needed my girl on board with me ❤️
This is by far my favourite photo of us both ❤️ These pictures brought back some fun memories I forgot about 🥺 -hopefully will have a ShowPo update soon 👀-
