I took some updated pictures of my 1 year 5 month old appaloosa yesterday and just had to share them. I have a post already for his QH brother, but thought he may deserve his own if I keep a running update on him as well. I don't think anyone would mind XD
Within the last few days, I have been in contact with the owner/breeder of several generations of his line and found out that my boy, Apollo, is not a blanket appaloosa. He is actually either a Chestnut Snowcap (*dies*) or a Suppressed Few Spot (*double dies*).
At 1 year 5 months, this boy already stands 14.3 at the hip, and 14.1 and the withers.

xD you Stable banner looks like Apollo just with the added neck and face detail. He is such a lush Baby. Ive always wanted an Appie but you don't get any in the uk, unless a Dapple Grey Counts xDD

Lol! Carrow. He would destroy your apartment, I promise. Not because he would freak out, but because he would get into everything, and then proceed to lock you out. He's soooo curious.
Lea - that's a shame that they don't have apps in the UK. Not even imports? Apollo actually can be traced back directly to the Nez Perce Horses. It's pretty darn cool.

Ah I'm still in love with him! So glad you found out, figured his mama might have been carrying one copy of LP - if she doesn't then suppressed leopard seeing the spots now. But the white patch on the shoulder is usually a give away of suppression. Awesome. And it's probably not snowcap - sire was a leopard (PATN1 the "leopard complex") unfortunately they don't have a "blanket" test/name yet. But the snowcap will come from that pattern. Also, not sure how much you know about the appy genes etc but if he's homozygous (few spot/snowcap) he'll be night blind.
