Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows of horse-friendly disinfectants? Cleaning out a stall that chickens used to be in for a new family member, but it is nasty and needs to be disinfected. However, I am unsure of what is safe to use. We have an Ace Hardware near us and they have plenty of choices but unsure which is OK to use.

Nolvasan - aka Chlorhexadine - is a very safe disinfectant.

I buy it by the gallon and use it for many things.

The vet even had us dilute with a bitmof water and use as a flush for a large cavity in a mini horse's mouth that had a huge tooth extracted.
