You train horses to see if they are strong or weak in stats. You use that to match them to horses that would benafit those stats in the foal. A horse could show 50 times in a month but it would not increase the stats of the horse.

That's show experience, not training

When you show your horse, both they and the rider will gain valuable show experience, as well as points and earn money for your stable.

Shows don't contribute to training

@Jester, thanks. It helps knowing when I should be looking at showing. :D

I enter foals from birth as shows contribute to training. Also they are competing against others that are the same. Before you criticise, it works for me

Sandy if you're premium you can use the barn manager, but I enter at week 4/5 and then the same after they level. I use the barn manager and I also try to hand enter when I can before she does lol

the easiest way to tell is if the horse has 2 bars per level in any discipline, if they don't they're not ready, if they have more than that(like the horse you mentioned) they're going to level up soon, so they'll do better in shows until they do level up :)

Hi,
I'm thinking of writing a book in real lifeabout horses of some kind. Though, before I do, I want to make sure there's enough demand for that sort of thing, eitherwise whats the point? I think I would aim it at older kids or adults.
What are your thoughts on this? Would you read something like this? What kind of story line do you like? Romance? Thriller? etc. (Obviously the overall theme will be horses)

I personally love fiction that involve horses! With any story, I think it is important for the main character to overcome some sort of challenge and have personal growth.

I recently read a book that was based around horses, but it was clear the authors knowledge regarding them was minimal. I don't know what your experience is surrounding horses, but do your research. You can even use the details of your story to teach other people about horses.

Keep in mind that writing is more for yourself rather than other people. If you get caught up writing for the purpose of pleasing other people you will be disappointed. If YOU want to write a book about horses than go for it!

Look up books about horses that are being published now and see what people are reading, what they like, and what they want. And then- write the story you want to write. Don't just write something because you think it's going to sell.
