Yes hopefully! With everything thing that happened I've been really tired and busy but I do want to get going with chapter 5 :) glad you like the story!

The time has come for chapter 5 to be read by you! Sorry for taking so long with it, I have been busy. I hope you enjoy! 5 It’s been 5 days since Jesper was in the village and Rebecca thinks he won’t come back. Her father, though, has been planning where she would take him when he arrives in the next day or two. He has a map of the town drawn out with locations marked and the details he thinks are important that she must say to him. Her mother has been buying fabrics with the little money she has and gives them to Rebecca’s grandmother to make a beautiful dress for Rebecca. Rebecca is out riding Dawn, her dun mare, when she sees a strikingly beautiful Friesian horse cantering steadily towards the village with a man on its back. As the horse nears the entrance to the village she can see that it’s Jesper riding the horse. Great, what’s HE doing here she thought as she rolled her eyes. “Ah good day Ms.Aitken, It’s a pleasure to meet you on this fine day! Shall we go for a canter together?” He asked cheerfully as he came to a halt in front of her, taking his top hat off in the process. Rebecca makes a ‘oh god no, what do I say to him', face and quickly declined his offer “Um actually Dawn and I are tired so I’m gonna go put back in her stable and then go to a friend's house soo..” her eyes darted everywhere as she finished her sentence. Girl you don’t have friends, what are you talking about?!. “But I guess you are welcome to come if you don’t mind talking to her parents..?” She laughs nervously as she finishes her fib. She turns Dawn around and starts trotting back to the stables. Stable door is closed..check! Saddle and bridle are in their places..check! Dawn has water and hay..check! Last thing left to do is brush her... Rebecca busied herself with the chores that needed doing when she heard gasps and, oohing and ahhing, outside the barn. She poked her head out and saw Jesper standing there with his Frisian horse and taking compliments from passers by. “What an idiot” she muttered to herself as she walked over to rescue him. “This way, you muppet” she said annoyed as she took his arm and pulled him towards the stables. “I’m surprised you weren’t thrown to the ground out there, these horses are rare here” she says as she pats the horse and puts it in a free stable beside Dawn. “His name is Rylan and he is my prized possession” he said proudly, thinking he impressed her. Rebecca just nodded, unamused by Jesper. “Is there a reason you are here Mr.Anderson?” Jesper stood up straighter and fixed his clothes “Ah yes there is, in fact, a reason..” He trailed off, still nervously fixing his waistcoat and fumbling around with his top hat. “Are you going to tell me your reason or am I supposed to guess it?” Rebecca said as she went back to brushing Dawn. “Oh right, uh yes, my reason..uh your father said you would take me for a delightful tour of Harnsey or I could possibly take you to North Verngrande if you would like?” Rebecca inhaled sharply through gritted teeth “I don’t know if I can take you on a delightful tour of Harnsey but I can show you some of it” she smiled slightly as she joked. They set off walking around the village, joking and shoving each other around the place. I guess he isn’t so bad after all!. They get back to Rebecca’s house where they are greeted by Rebecca’s now excited parents “Rebecca dear, come look at what your grandmother and I made you!” Her mother said excitedly and brought her into the living room. Laid out on the couch was a floor length, off the shoulder, golden dress with golden sequins embroidered around the corset. Rebecca couldn’t help but be in awe of it, it truly was a stunning dress! Rebecca ran up stairs to put on and when she came back down Jesper held out his hand to help her off the bottom step like a gentleman. “Care to join me on my ride back to Verngrande Ms.Aitken?”. “YES! I feel like a Goddess in this dress! My oh my, it would be a shame not to show it off” she joked as they said their goodbyes and headed out the door towards the stables to start their journey to North Verngrande. |

Ok, Ok! Chapter 6 is here! Sorry for not getting it up sooner..I have been insanely busy lately. Hope you enjoy!? 6 2 days pass as the pair joke around and get to know one another until they finally reach North Verngrande. Rebecca is starting to like Jesper although not as much as he likes her. He’s funny, kind and caring, always making sure she isn’t hungry or cold. “Rebecca I must tell you now as we approach the gates..I haven’t been completely open with you.. I-”. Rebecca stops Dawn, whipping her head around curiously yet angrily “What do you mean?! Are you a criminal or something??” She butts in. Jesper couldn’t help but laugh “Oh dear no! I am by no means a criminal, I was trying to say I am of royalty, I am the Prince of Verngrande” He cleared his throat while Rebecca just stared at him in disbelief. He hopped down off Rylan and helped Rebecca off of Dawn. "Allow me to properly introduce myself.” He bows slightly while holding one hand behind his back and holding her hand with the other. Rebecca nervously tries to curtsy but it a bit wobbly “Ms. Atiken, My name is Prince Jesper Anderson of North Verngrande, the eldest son of 8 children and next in line to be King of North Verngrande” He smiles nervously “How do you do m’lady?”. Rebecca smiles slightly and lets out a little chuckle “Rebecca Atiken, only child and next in line to be the poorest person in Harnsey” She laughs and goes red at her nervous joke. “How do you do, my Prince?”Jesper laughs and stands up straighter. “Well now you know my position, I need to tell you, my parents can be..cold..” He gives Rebecca a leg back up onto Dawn. “Just be patient with them, please? My siblings are dying to meet with you too!” Rebecca thinks for a moment “how many brothers and sisters do you have?” Jesper sighs “3 brothers, I am a twin and 4 sisters. I am older by a couple of minutes” he added the last part quickly. They continue the last bit of their journey through the gates, into a magical looking city. WOW! He is a prince AND lives here?? He wants me to be a Princess then a Queen and actually live here??! Is he nuts?!“You want me to live here with you..IF we get married?” Rebecca asked half disgustedly “I mean it’s beautiful here, like paradise but it’s just so ...not me…”. “Oh I mean we won’t live in the castle when we get married-“, "IF we get married!” Jesper clears his throat “Right, yes, IF we get married, we won’t live in the castle we will-,would! We would live there.” He points to a 2 story townhouse that is situated quite close to the castle. Just then a loud siren, musical type sound bellows through the city of Verngrande. PRINCE JESPER HAS RETURNED FROM HIS TRAVELS! Jesper goes red “Oh no, it’s time to meet my parents now!” |
