Caden trotted Ricochet into the field behind the cabin, gazing in through one of the windows. He spotted a flash of movement and frowned, noticing what it was. He cantered the horse over to the back porch, grabbing his shot gun with a slight smile. Deer were in season, and Caden had found a big buck. The man hopped up onto the gelding and took off, gun in one hand, reins in the other.

Caden eventually found the deer, hopping off Ricochet and onto the ground silently. He loaded his gun, shooting off a few bullets at the buck, the sound echoing in the valley.

Caden unfortuanetly missed, sighing and hopping back up onto Ricochet. He walked the gelding back and heard a growl, seeing a cougar and tensing. The man remembered the day he'd been riding and attacked by a cougar, leaving him with a limp and a large scar across his chest. He shook off the feeling, choosing another direction before heading to the barn and untacking the gelding. Caden walked into the house, slightly uneasy but managable as he pecked Rosa's cheek, sitting next to her with his arm over her shoulders. Brock texted me about a fire tonight, offered to watch the kids if we wanted to go and have some free time. Edited at March 14, 2025 05:47 PM by RFS Thoroughbreds

Rosa sensed something was off, but didn't push. She nods, "I'd love to spend one on one time with you"

"Alright, we'll leave once he shows up." He informs her, lightning up as he texted Brock, the man showing up at the door. "So, where are the future dare devils?" Brock asked, Caden chuckling as he led him to where the two twins were. "Aw, this one has your eyes, good luck with him once he's older." Brock mused, Caden introducing the twins to him. "Alright that's about it, if Murphy gets too cocky don't be afraid to pop him, he should know his boundaries." He said, looking over at Rosa. "Ready to go?"

Rosa nods, "good luck" she calls to Brock and takes Caden's hand, walking out. "call me if you need anything" she adds before turning back to leave

"It's just a short walk, won't take too long." He explains, pressing a kiss to her cheek as they walked along the trail. The soon arrived to a raging campfire and a small group of people, some being Caden's friends. "Hey look it's old Stallingrad," One of them teased, Caden just laughing along with them.
