12:48:59 Ship I updated my avatar! I decided to draw something, cause I had motivation, lol. |
12:47:37 Trigger 🐾 Now, does it irritate me when I spend an hour deep cleaning and setting up their tubs and they opt to destroy it in 5 minutes? Yes yes it does haha. |
12:46:42 Trigger 🐾 See I have two boas. One female one male, a breeding pair I am fully ready and already started building their racks for their adult size The racks they are in now are properly enriched- fake plants, hides water bowl, temp checkers and the system is on a thermostat. I also have two ball pythons. One living in their current rack and one that will move in once the boas adult racks are done. People who do NO research or give the bare minimum irritate me. |
12:43:25 Granny C I'd like to get a fish tank, but realistically, don't have the wall space or the electrical outlets. |
12:39:08 Night//Farro Ive never gotten a pet unless everything was set up and I was sure I had everything.. (mostly fish. their tank is always cycled before I go to the fish store. sometimes I have to ask the peeps there what food would be best for em, but usually I already got the food too ) |
12:35:34 I get a lot of people in my ball python Facebook groups asking for help because they bought 2-3 ball python and dont have the space or equipment to care for them. Maybe instead dont buy them? |
12:30:39 Ven I've worked in a pet store, at an animal rescue, at a vet's office, you name it. I've just seen a lot of crap go down with people neglecting animals |
12:29:50 Granny C Revel - exactly. He's old enough to know better, but refuses to do the research before acting. |
12:29:40 Solar Phoenix Ven I wish more people thought like you, honestly |
12:29:28 Ven They're good! Thor's birthday is on Friday |
12:28:57 Ven I want a sun conure so badly but the whole thing is unethical in addition to taking up a lot of time and money |
12:28:52 Lance Stroll Fan @Ven How is Thor and Your Son doing |
12:28:06 Ven I have the opposite of that problem. There are a lot of animals I have experience with and would love to own again but can't because I'm not able to suit their needs. Birds being one. |
12:26:45 @Granny, sounds like my brother. He likes to buy pets and then doesnt understand why they need actual care . |
12:25:51 Void Malign Gold fish are basically a case of "yeah, see that filter that's rated for your tank size? Get the next size up." |
12:25:03 Granny C My brother has fish tanks. He thought they'd be 'easy'. What a joke on him. One is over-run with snails now and he's had to get Assassin snails to get rid of the others. He also tends to have too many fish. He over feeds them as well, then bitches that the water stinks and he has to change it all the time. He's a doof. |
12:24:54 Ven I won't touch goldfish because my tanks are smaller and the massive amounts of poop overwhelms the filtration system |
12:23:56 Iris Leaf I did that a little too XD |

Sage simply shrugged when Mari noted the boy was his son, and flashed his wife a grin. "Syrup is good," he chirped, looking over at his son with a grin when the boy nodded enthusiastically. Though, at her next comment, his eyebrows shot up and he hummed as if in thought. "Not brave enough, huh," he mused, knowing full well she was only teasing. "I suppose I'll let you think about whether or not I'll do anything then," he hummed, knowing he'd definitely be doing it later. But he could tease. Make her think about it. Want it more, he supposed. He took the cream though, dumping it over the waffle and then handing it to Silas, who also took a generous amount of it before setting it down on the table and digging into his food. (Not gonna be on much from tomorrow onwards, starting to get shit ready for school and the move too) The woman rolled her eyes at the man with a bit of a chuckle before shrugging. She wandered over to Silas and sort of poked his belly with a grin, her son sort of giggling at her with a big grin scross her face. "All that syrup is gonna make you sick," she mused sofrly, which earned her a pout from the boy. "Syrup is good for you," the boy argued, which just earned him a laugh from her. At Sages comments, though, she sort of just shot him a knowing look before going back to getting things out to eat. She set some stuff aside for Liz, then plopped down next to Sage with a soft huff of air. "You taking Silas out to sort the horses this morning? " she asked him with a grin, to which Silas just looked over at his dad with a hopeful grin across his face.

(lol, I get it....life's been crazy over here too ahaha) Sage couldn't help but chuckle when Silas tried to claim syrup was good for him. He reached over to ruffle the boys hair gently before humming with a nod in response to his wife's comment. "Sure," he noted, moving to put their plates in the sink and move to start cleaning up a little bit. "I'll wear him out for you," he added with a chuckle, pecking her on the head before gesturing for Silas to clean himself up and then shooing him out the door with a grin lingering on his face as they moved towards the barn, amber hopping along after them happily.

Mari grinned when they all hopped out the door, and quickly cleaning up before deciding that Lizzie probably did need to get up. They'd spent a little while messing around, and admittedly she was just happy to chill out for five minutes before going to wake her daughter up gently. Well, the kid wasn't even asleep, she was just sat on her bed playing with toys. She grinned and went to get the girl ready for the day before going down stairs to make her some breakfast. She'd been going to some little lessons in the afternoon, only for an hour or so... but in those little lessons she'd learned to read, and the child was proving to be quite the bookworm. Once she was ready and had eaten, though, it was about one in the afternoon. Mari called her down to get a back and some snacks, and soon they were off towards the little building. It was a school of sorts, she supposed... though, it just taught the children the important bits, like reading and writing. She dropped her off and got a bit of shopping done before going to pick the child back up again, the both of them soon wandering into the house happily.

Sage had allowed Silas to help him out with feeding and watering....the boy did enjoy the horses, and he was happy to let him mess around with some of the more gentle mares and foals. The boy watered all the horses, though soon enough ran off to frolic with the foals in the fields, so sage kept an eye on him while he finished up what he needed to do and had checked in on all the horses. Soon enough though, Silas had grown hungry, and he wandered back to the house with his son, greeting Mari and Lizzie, who had arrived back home maybe fifteen minutes prior to them coming inside. "the horses are done....I might stop by the castle for an hour or two and check in," he told mari lightly, helping to fix lunchafter he'd washed his hands.

The woman wandered back to the house happily, Liz sort of waddling along next to her. She was such a good kid... a little bit quieter than Silas, but still bubbly and genuinely a happy kid. It was nice to be around them, she supposed. Once back in the house, she went to go put some shopping away and got some lunch on. It was a bit late to eat lunch, but everyone was definitely hungry. She grinned over at the boys as they wandered in, Silas trying to run past her though she sort of grabbed his head and turned him towards the sink. The boy let out an exasperated huff, though washed his hands before running off. Sage helped her out quietly, just getting on with the chore. Soon enough though, they'd gotten lunch on the table and she called the kids through, who started munching away happily.

Sage had chuckled to himself when Silas whined about washing up....it certainly reminded him of himself, especially when he was younger and in his teens. He never did understand washing hands....mostly because the water he had was river water so there was really no point. A little dirty never hurt anyone. But it was healthy to wash up, so he was more than happy to enforce the rules for the kids. He helped Mari set lunch up happily, digging in after the kids and then Mari had their food. It wasnt much, but it was good, and soon enough he moved to help the kids put their plates in the sink and clean things up a bit. "I'm going to run down to the castle for a couple hours," he told mari lightly. "Just to check in. I'll be back soon," he promised before heading out the door and grabbing chaos, hopping on and heading off happily.

The woman hummed happily, a little grin escaping her when he moved to help her out. "Yeah, alright," she chirped lightly. "I'll have dinner for you when you get back," she hummed happily. She watched him leave, and started to herd the kids around. Anya was sat in her room again... the place felt like a mess again. There were bottles everywhere, and the place reeked. She hadn't actually drank anything, but her head was pounding and she just felt so sick. Atticus had been over to see her, and suddenly she was just so... embarrassed about the whole thing. He left soon enough, though, which left her with her own rather tiresome thoughts.

Sage had pecked Mari on the cheek on his way out, and handed chaos off the the normal guard when he arrived at the castle. He knocked gently on Anyas door before sliding in and moving to peer over the girls shoulder at her desk....which was a mess again. He did notice that while there were bottles everywhere, they weren't all empty, which was a step up from where she'd been last time. "When was the last time you ate or drank anything decent," he murmured, not seeing any sort of water bottle or anything....anywhere. "or slept," he added, eyeing the bed which was piled full of things. It wasn't in a chiding manner....not at all, but he was concerned for the girl. He'd sort of placed his hands on her shoulders, giving her a gentle squeeze that was more reassuring than anything, though she was tense enough he did suppose it would feel nice.

The woman jumped a litle when she saw Sage come on, then sort of rolled her eyes. She looked over at him, and offered a lightly sheepish smile, but it was lopsided and admittedly took more energy than she would have liked. She shrugged a little at his question, her brows pinching together. "Not long ago," she muttered, then sort of raised a brow at him. It seemed a little ironic that he was the one asking her that...but oh well. He was just trying to help. "Properly? Like last week," Anya sort of chuckled. She jumped when he reached out to her, though when his thumb moved into her shoulder she pretty much just melted. She'd been so tense... she hadn't noticed it, all she'd noticed was that she was hurting, but admittedly the touch was nice.
