Once they were all settled in comfortably, it didn't take long at all for Sage to pass out and slip into a nice deep sleep. He didn't dream at all, which still wasn't super normal. Even though the nightmares had become pretty few and far between, he still often dreamed. Those were jsut more weird though, or snippets of things throughout his life. He knew they weren't real though, and they definitly weren't scary or bad enough to wake him or unnerve him at all. But even so, a night without any dreams at all was nice. He woke up a little bit later than Mari, though when he noticed she was awake but still in bed he sort of just shifted to curl up into her with a half asleep huff of air before letting himself sort of just drift off again.

Mari sort of just layed in bed, admittedly a little bit restless... she wasn't sure why. Something wasn't right, it was all a little bit too perfect. Well, that or maybe she was just overthinking things. Probably the latter. She sort of looked over at Sage when she spotted him awake, and a little smile crossed her face when he curled into her. She sort of moved to slip her arms up his shirt and around his back, drawing gentle shapes with her nails. She was going to say something before realising he'd drifted off again. A small huff of complaint escaped her, though kept on drawing on him, happy to just relax for a little bit she supposed.

Sage sort of drifted in and out of sleep for another hours or so, just happy to be ressting in his wife's arms. Soon enough though, he'd woken up enough to mumble a sort of crackly good morning to the woman, eyes still closed but slowly waking up by then. There was nothing important that needed to get done though, so he was content to just lay there and bask in the sun that was shining on them softly now. It was warm, and Mari's touch was comforting, and he really was just so grateful to have a life where he could rest happily, knowing he and his family were safe.

Mari smiled softly when she felt him shift, and sort of moved to press a soft kiss to his forehead before wrapping her arms around him a little tighter. She smiled and moved to settle back down for a little bit until Sage had woken up a little more. She was a little bored... she found she was bored quite a lot now, actually. She sort of hummed and moved to press a few sort of playful kisses to the soft of his neck as he woke up, an amused chuckle escaping her. "Have you got plans for today," she asked softly, then went to peck his lips happily.

Sage sort of hummed happily when he felt Mari tighten herself around him, a small laugh coming from his lips when she kissed his neck. He sort of let his head loll to the side for her, shaking his head with a hum and kissing her back when he felt her lips on his. "Just the horses, maybe some painting later," he noted quietly, opening his eyes to peer up at her happily. It would be a good day just to stay home, he supposed. To not really have to do any aside from the normal feed and water the horses sort of thing.

Mari grinned at him, sort of shifting to lean over him a little bit. She let her nails trail softly up and down his neck as she pondered for a moment. "Well then I suppose we can have a pretty chilled out day," she murmured happily. It wasn't really often they just had a relaxed day... well, it wasn't ever stressful, but Sage was often out of the house and the kids were off doing... something. It was nice when they were in the house, of course, but it was becoming less and less. They were still so young, too... she couldn't imagine what it would be like in a few years time. She sort of held his face happily before shaking her head, a little grin across her face. "If you're in the house I get to see how handsome you are," she giggled lightly, really just teasing.

Sage hummed lightly with a sort of tiny nod. It was barely there, since he was still half asleep, but it was there nonetheless. "That sounds nice," he humemd quietly, not wanting to disturb the peace by talking too loud. It was a silly feeling, but he didn't much care. When she grabbed his face, he felt a light blush spreading across his face, but he gave her a rather drunken looking grin and leaned forward to peck her head. "I suppose so," he mused, sort of settling down after that, just glad to have her there with him still.

Mari gave a little hum before moving to gently peck his nose. He still looked tired... well, he'd never been one to wake up very quickly. She was sort of the opposite. She would wake up pretty quickly. When they were in the castle she always had to be doing... something. That feeling had settled down now... she was getting a little older she supposed. It wasn't a bad thing... she didn't think. When he grinned at her, she could just smile and wrap her arms around him snuggly, sort of flopping down on his chest:

Sage sort of just snuggled up happily when she flopped aginst him, humming and pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "Maybe if you're lucky I'll have enough energy to accept your little invatation later," he hummed after a bit, tone turning slightly mischevious as he referred back to their conversation from the other day. Nothign needed to happen, he knew that...but he could joke about. And neither of them would exactly be upset if the teasing turned into doing. So, why not mess about a bit? They weren't doing much at the moment anyway.

Mari sort it nuzzled in happily, just resting for a little bit. She sort of raised a brow at his comment, and flopped down again. "If you're lucky I'll be in the mood to do anything," she huffed with an amused chuckle. She sort of cocked her head at him before rolling off again. "If I'm lucky you'll act on the invitation later," she mused. She sort of found herself trailing her nails up and down his chest, eventually just settling down comfortably. She really wasn't bothered if anything happened, but they had a pretty quiet day so there was no harm in messing around a little.
