Sage rolled his eyes a little in response to her comment, but it was obviously all in amusement. He hummed in agreement when she mentioned italian, and sort of wandered a litle while longer before figuring they could go to the nicer resturaunt on the edge of town, and started tugging her along in that direction. It was a bit of a walk, but that was ok....it was just nice to be out and about, really. And he knew Mari was enjoying it too. So it would be a nice one to go to. A little expensive maybe, but the food was good, and they'd saved enough money that it would be alright.

Mari felt a little huff of air escape her when he started pulling her along, an amused hum coming from her lips before trotting along next to him happily. She supposed he had something in mind. That would be good. And if he wanted to go there, then he must have been happy taking her along too. Every now and then she got a little worried that he'd get bored of her... but he hadn't, and he had agreed to take her out. That settled her a little, she supposed.

Sage wandered along happily for a while, until they got closer to the resturaunt. "I would tell you to close your eyes, but then I'd probably walk us both straight into a building," he noted with a chuckle, turning the corner and heading for the building, which had its lights turned on by then even though it wasn't really getting dark quite yet.

Mari looked to him with an amused chuckle before shrugging. "Who knows. It might be nice to see what it's like as you," she teased lightly. "Well, I wouldn't be seeing much, but still," the woman cackled playfully. She looked at the building with a small smile though, and an amused hum escaped her. "Very cute," she chirped. She then sort of cocked her head. "How'd you find it though?" She asked softly.

Sage rolled his eyes in response to the girl's comment, nudging her playfully before humming in response to her question. "I'm not entirely sure," he mused. "Might have been I saw it walking around while i lived out here, or someone mentioned it at the tavern," he thought out loud before shrugging. "Doesn't really matter I suppose," he admitted, moving to hold the door open and wander into the place with Mari happily.

The woman sort of laughed at a thought that crossed her head. She gently bumped his side before they went to sit down. "Well, it's either that or you've been sneaking around without me," she teased softly to the boy. She smiled and pressed a light kiss to his lips just before she plopped down next to him. She had to admit, she was sort of excited to have some decent food for one. It felt like that sort of thing never happened to her. She cooked most of the time, and she did enjoy it... but there was just something better when it was someone else doing it all for you.

Sage chuckled softly and gave her a grin and a nod. "Yeah, I've been hanging out with my old tavern buddies. Getting all drunk and rowdy, shagging em on these nice tables," he joked, both of them knowing he'd never do anything of the sort. He kissed her back happily, scooting in so she was next to him. His blind side was to the wall, so he could see her. The server too, he supposed....but most he wanted to see her. How happy it all made her.

The only woman sort of wrinkled her nose at him, her eyes rolling in amusement. "You're not getting past me," she mused. "Plus, you have no 'buddies' to shag," she chuckled, sort of shaking her head with an amused hum. She grabbed a menu when it was handed to her, and sort of pinched her brows together as though deciding what she wanted. She wasn't sure. Just something... easy. Well, it didn't have to be easy, she wasn't making it. She shrugged and eventually settled on a small stone baked pizza... she couldn't make that at home. Soon, the waitress came around to take their orders, but soon enough left once she'd gotten everything.

Sage chuckled softly and gave her a grin with a hum. "Oh, that's ok, you're all I need," he mused lightly, a mischievous grin crossing his face. He looked through the menu before they'd just decided to share the pizza. That sounded good, and they didn't generally have it at home, so it was a nice change. The waiter had brought it over soon enough, and he could admit it was really good.

The woman wrinkled her nose at him with a small huff of air. "Eugh," she teased, gently bumping his side. Their food came out pretty quickly... she was pretty hungry. It was nice not to actually have to do anything, too. It was just a bonus that the food was actually pretty good. Once she'd had a slice to two, she left the rest to Sage. "For my birthday," she started, clearing her throat as if thinking about something very important. "I need you to make me a pizza oven," she mused gently.
