Ben was just lifting the saddle off Ghost when he heard Emma's voice coming from the house. It was louder than usual and panicked. Ben's mind raced for two seconds before dropping the saddle on the nearest surface and rushing towards the house. |

Brock had both of her wrists in his hands and Emma's expression was panicked. Brock chuckled, yanking her off balance and causing her to use him to catch herself. He laughed a bellowing, terrifying laugh |

Ben banged the door open and immediately saw the situation. "Hey!" He strode up to Brock. "Let go of her!" He demanded, voice low and menacing. He would give the man a chance to obey, but if he didn't... Ben mustered his courage for whatever he would have to do. |

"What are you gonna do about it? Hit me? Please, I've killed bigger than you." Brock snorted. Emma was trembling in fear, eyes wide at Brock, half flinching |

Ben seemed not to hear his remark, and took a step forward. "I said: Let. Go. Of. Her." His face was only inches away from Brock's, eyes icy. He made each word sound like it's own sentence. For some reason, he wasn't really scared. Sure, Brock was bigger than him, and stronger too, but he didn't need to be strong to best the crazy man. Brains always beat strength. |

Brock, not breaking eye contact with Ben, yanked on Emma's arm and had her stumbling toward him. "Why do you care?" |

Ben's eyes flashed. His hands shot out and grabbed Brock's, twisting them so he let go of Emma. "I care because anyone with the smallest amount of decency in them knows not to treat a girl like that! She was just unconscious, for heaven's sake, why make her even more miserable?" He let go of Brock's wrists, eyes boring into the other man's. "Now, you have a choice. Stay here and fight or leave the farm now. It's up to you, but things could get bad really fast if you choose to stay." He tried to sound like he knew what he was doing, but in reality his mind was racing, freaking out. |

Emma stumbled backward, caught off guard by the sudden let-go of her wrists. Her eyes darted between the two men, terrified. "Don't touch me" Brock snapped, riping his hands out of Ben's. He loaded up a punch, bringing his arm back and snapping it forward |

Ben sighed to himself. Of course that hadn't worked. He should've known Brock wasn't just going to walk away. Before he could get his thoughts together and decide what to do next, Brock's fist collided with Ben's jaw and cheek. He spun from the force of the blow, falling to his knees. He recovered quickly, standing and throwing a punch back at Brock, not really thinking his plan through. He wasn't that experienced in fighting like this, but he'd had his share of tussles, so he got the general idea. He had no idea how this was going to go, and dimly thought what a stupid idea it had been to get into this mess in the first place. |

Ben's fist caught Brock square in the jaw, making the man more angry. He might as well have had steam rolling from his ears the way he was looking at Ben. Emma was still standing in shock, on the edge of collapsing. She gripped the counter for support. Brock tried throwing a punch but missed somehow |
