Once she was close enough, she leaped into the air that way she could try to tackle Sage down and win their little game of tag. Her eyes were locked on him and she positioned her body mid air to make sure that when she did tackle him down, she wouldn't hurt him. Cassidy kept it in mind that he was human who was still frail unlike a werewolf who could take quite a few blows without actually being too injured. They healed really fast too unlike Sage. Sage's injury at max would have taken Cassidy only a couple weeks to fully heal while he took two months to heal completely.

Sage stopped and turned around when he heard her feet leave the ground. He jogged backward a couple of steps but not far enough that he'd miss her. She hit his chest, and he wrapped his arms around her, grabbing her and then lifted her up with a smirk. "Aww, what a cute puppy," he giggled, giving her a teasing (and slightly triumphant) look. "I caught something nice this time," he all but giggled. He'd done it, caught her, and she was actually very soft and fluffy. He knew she was warm and soft, of course, he'd been using her as a type of pillow for a while now...he still preferred her to blankets, though he couldn't really pick a single reason why. But actually holding her was a bit of a different story.

A small yelp of surprise sounded from Cassidy when she was lifted up by Sage and he was holding her now. She growled softly -That's not fair!- a hint of pout was in her tone and she even wiggled in his arms a little to try and free herself from him. It was embarrassing that Sage actually caught her when she was in mid air! Sure it was impressive considering he was human but she was a predator! She shouldn't have been caught. Cassidy went limp in his arms but she was still growling quietly in protest with her ears pinned back. It was clear she was still pouting over the situation like a child.

Sage giggled and set her down gently, patting her head. "Sure it's fair! Humans are technically predators too, sweetheart." The term he used, sweetheart, was in a joking way, not romantic. His tone was sure to say that. Though, he couldn't deny that he had some pretty strong feelings towards Cass. He wondered if romance was even possible....she wasn't human. She had a human form, but still, if by some chance she liked him back and they thought they could act like the dumb teenagers they really were, how would that even work? He shook the thoughts out of his head and straightened. "Come on, puppy Cass," he chirped. "The town is calling us!" He started walking off towards the town, a grin still spread wide across his face.

-Not like wolves. I could eat you, but I won't- she joked-I like you too much to do that- she added while her tail was wagging. Cassidy walked next to Sage and she rolled her eyes -I am not a puppy. I'm a teenager- she grumbled but she nosed his hand and lifted it up until his hand was resting on top of her head. Werewolves didn't like being pet unless the wolf knew the person. Example, a friend or a family member, but Cassidy considered Sage her best friend so he was allowed to pet her without her getting offensive of it.

Sage chuckled and absentmindedly played with her ears and the fur around them as he walked. "Technically I could eat you too," he pointed out. Then he poked her on the side of her head lightly and nudged her rib cage with his hip. "though there's not much meat there, miss teenager. You'll have to get fattened up before I go thinking about that," he teased. He did, technically, weigh not much more than her when she was a human and was to be quite honest still skinnier than she was as a human too. He supposed that compared to a werewolf, as a human he was pretty small and fragile, even after eating somewhat decently for two months. But he could still tease her about it.

A small whine sounded from her -I'm still growing- her eyes looked down and slowly a grin came to her lips -But I'm still stronger than you- without warning she shoved his side with her head and he moved away from her a couple of feet. Sure Cassidy was small and often times she got made fun of by her pack for it but at least she was quick and smart. It came in handy as did many other things. Cassidy looked up towards the sky -So, have you changed your mind yet about still sticking with me?- she teased. Deep down though she hoped Sage still wanted to stick with her otherwise she would be alone again and Cassidy liked his company.

Sage hadn't expected her to shove him over, so of course he was going to go to the side. He gave her a playful pout. "Unfair," he told her, trying to keep the pout instead of a grin on his face. He gave her a fake thoughfull look, squinting and rubbing his hand along his jaw. "Hmmm....so far you've taken pretty good care of me, I think I'll have to stay and annoy you forever and ever in return." He did want to stay with the girl...he really liked her, and they were thriving together. Well, as much as you can thrive during a zombie apocalypse.

-Forever and ever? That's a pretty big commitment you know. I think if you plan on staying with me for that long then we should be more than friends- she made sure to smile to look like she was joking except in reality, deep down, she did want to be a little more than friends. They were together everyday for the past two months and Sage was a really great guy. She still didn't understand how is parents could treat him the way they did and how he ended up as a street rat. Maybe Cassidy's heart was too big and she looked past all of the bad stuff and instead focused on his good sense of humor, his teasing, his jokes, and more. Cassidy wouldn't want to be paired with anyone else in an apocalypse. Her and Sage made a great team and even more so now that he was healed and not hobbling around on one leg. Their personalities seemed to match too and they didn't let the apocalypse dim their light.

Sage looked over at the girl and grinned. "More than friends huh? They do say that dogs are man's best friend," he chuckled, patting her head lightly. It was the perfect opportunity to say that, even though he was so incredibly tempted to say something like are you asking me out on a date or well I guess I'll have to be your boyfriend now then, huh. Geez, his brain was teasing him. He couldn't say something like that, he didn't want to ruin what they had. Because if she didn't feel in a similar way, things would get real awkward real quickly.
