Caleb reached over and placed his hand on hers in a friendly way. "Just tell me. I don't mind" He murmured

Josephine had almost pulled away from his touch, but she caught herself, leaving her hand where it was. "Before you came here, there was a hand named Lucas.. He was older and sweet and flirty. I thought there was really something going on, but it wasn't all it cracked up to. He... got me alone one day and started forcing himself on me," she explained, pausing for a moment to take a deep breath. "I told him to stop, but he wouldn't and there wasn't anything that I could do about it."

Caleb moved his hand off of hers, wrapping his arms around her. "I'm sorry that happened to you. I pormise I would never do that to you" He vowed, the weight of the promise evident in his voice

Josephine stiffened in his arms, but after a moment she melted into him, her arms wrapping around him in return. "Thank you.. thank you so much.." she murmured, biting the inside of her cheek to keep from crying.

Caleb smiled softly as he felt her arms wind around him in return. "Of course" He murmured, almost silently

Josephine stayed like that for as long as she could stand it, which was longer than even she thought she'd be comfortable being touched. She trusted him, but it would take a little while before she could fully accept being loved on. She straightened up a little and glanced up at the sky, which was still threatening to fully storm on them. "We should probably get home, huh?"

"Yeah" He agreed, letting her go and standing. He smiled softly at her and began the walk back to the house. He turned to her as they approached it. "Night." He said softly, waiting until she was safely inside before retreating to his room

Josephine walked back feeling as though a weight had been lifted off of her chest. "Goodnight," she replied before turning and going into the house. She then went up to her room to get ready for bed.

Caleb didn't bother changing, just laid onto his bed and quickly fell asleep

Once she got into bed, Josephine fell asleep rather fast. She'd underestimated just how tired she was.
