Camery Valatieri - Cam held onto him for a moment as he sobbed, never letting go of him throughout his rant. God, she hated that he felt like this. She hated that she'd made him feel like this. She hated herself for it. She was quiet for a moment, and drew in a deep breath as she buried her nose in his hair. "Hunny," she started, letting out that breath and closing her eyes. "I understand that you wanna wait. I get why, but it's just not what I had planned, and I know you're right. We should wait, I just wasn't expecting it. I love you to hell and back, you know that. I've loved you through hell and back twice - no, thrice now. You making a decision - a good decision like making us wait, would no way tear us apart," she paused, pecking the top of his head. "And I love that you're emotional. It makes me feel so connected to you. I love that you tell me what you're thinking and let me know that you're upset instead of bottling it all up. We're so good together like that. We can nip things in the but before they bubble up into something that might actually pull us away from each other," she whispered. "I love that you come in from a long day and kiss me and wrap your arms around me, and tell me how much you love me. How much you missed me. I love that you're needy. I love that you can't sleep without me, and that you like being close," she whispered gently to him. "And you've never, ever upset me. You've never made me cry, not like I've made you cry - not like how you're crying now," she murmured, pulling away just a little. "So maybe it's me that tears us apart. I've said things that I know will upset you, just to get a reaction - like that day we went out for a picnic, or before that first ball we went to. That was the first time you walked away from me, Kai. I made that happen," she sighed. "But you've still never upset me. Not enough to make me walk away from you." She looked down at him for just a moment, then squeezed him a little tighter. "And in no world would I ever not say I love you back on purpose. I was already half asleep." She finished.

Malakai Negri - Kai listened looking up at her with his bloodshot and teary eyes. "...y-you really mean that?" he whispered, his lip quivering.

Camery Valatieri - Camery pulled away a little and moved to wipe his tears from his cheek, leaning in to peck his forehead. "Of course I do. I love you so much. Im sorry for making you think for even a moment I don't love you back," she whispered, resting a hand on his cheek. "And you're right. We should wait for a baby. If even talking about it puts you in state like this... we're definitely not ready for a family," she murmured with a defeated sigh.

|
Malakai Negri - Kai looked up at her. "But... I know you want a baby and I don't wanna disappoint you... but I also think we should wait... I don't know what to think anymore..." he mumbled, confused at his own emotions.

Camery Valatieri - Cam shook her head softly and squeezed him again. "Malakai, sweetheart," she started, looking down at him with a smile. "I do want a baby. But I also want an heir. I want us to be ready for that. You're right, we should wait... but if anything happens, and I somehow do get pregnant on our honeymoon, then it's not a bad thing. No matter what happens... I'm with you all the way. You're smart. If you think we should wait... well, we'll wait then. It wouldn't be disappointing me," she whispered.

Malakai Negri - Kai looked up at her. "Are you sure?" he asked quietly. The last thing he wanted to do was to disappoint her.

|

|
Camery Valatieri - Cam nodded, and moved to rest her head on the pillow. "I'm sure. If I wanted a baby that much I'd just hide all your protection away," she joked gently. "But it's what's best for us. If you want us to wait a few years, or until we both want a baby and not just an heir, thats what we'll do. I'm with you all the way, babe."

Malakai Negri - Kai smiled. "I love you..." he murmured, hugging her tight.

|
Camery Valatieri - Cam smiled softly after a moment and leaned in to peck his lips. "I love you too. More than anything," she whispered. She was still curled around him so tightly. Her nose was in his hair and her legs had curled up and into his chest. It was exhausting. She loved Kai and everything about him... but she made him feel so bad about himself sometimes. She made him feel like he wasn't good enough, or that he'd disappointed her. She didn't mean to - and it did scare her. She was so scared that he'd feel this way for so long that his only option was to leave her. That was the last thing she wanted. "Please don't stay awake crying again. Wake me up so we can fix things. Don't let me sleep soundly while you're that upset about something. I promise I'm here for you."

Malakai Negri - Kai nodded, curled into her. "Okay," he agreed.
Kai was overwhelmed with exhaustion. He hadn't slept a wink all night. "Can we just stay in bed today? Please?"
