Sages eyes widened when he noticed the girl had heard him and crept backwards, away from her. He didn't know who she was...but she could be dangerous. And who wouldn't want the chance to kidnap a prince and hold him for ransom? He'd learned to be cautious, a long time ago. He wasn't even sure if his father would pay anything to get him back. But he didn't trust this girl, and now he was getting nervous again.

Aria sighed. She glanced one more time and turned back, her back facing the trees. She walked to her house and sat down against the brick wall outside. Aria buired her face in her hands. She felt alone again. Her heart slowed down, as she calmed herself.

Sage noticed the girl sit down again and frowned. She looked lonely, and he eventually sighed and crept closer again, wanting to get a better look at her and get a feel of the space he was in.

Aria slowly stood to her feet as she walked over to a small bench, inbetween a garden of flowers. "Hey mom." She whispered. "It's been almost 3 months. I miss you more every day." The girl said. Small streams of tears rushed down her pale pink cheeks. Her mother had recently passed away... Her father was still alive, but didn't want to take care of her himself. He left her and her mom when Aria was only 5. Her mom was fully human, and her dad was a vampire. So, of course she was both. Even though her father didn't accept her, she still loved him dearly. I am so sorry! I was super busy last night and didn't have time to get on!

(it's all good! I had a game last night so I wasn't on either haha) Sage suddenly felt awkward listening in on her conversation, so he tried to creep backwards again, not wanting to intrude on her conversation. He ran into something and had to stifle a yelp, though when he turned it was only a tree ...his nerves must have just been funky. He let out a breath of relief before realizing the girl could probably hear that and froze, eyes locking on the girl. Shoot. Would he have to fight? What would happen? She was obviously already upset.

Aria's head jerked up as she scanned the forest. "Hello?" She called. She walked into the forest before seeing a shadow in the darkness. Oh great. She thought. "Hello?" The girl called again. Whatever it was, it didn't want to risk coming out. "I'm not going to hurt you!" She said, waiting for any sudden movements or sounds. Someone is in there. I know it. Aria said. Her legs and arms were shaking lightly.

Sage could tell the girl saw him ...at least, she saw his shadow or something. She was looking straight at him, after all. He shifted slightly trying to keep himself from trembling. "How do I know you won't," he eventually spoke up. It was quiet, and cautious, but strong enough to tell whoever this was that he could protect himself if he had to. He hadn't moved though, and didn't exactly want to. With his back against a tree, no one could sneak up behind him.

Aria pursed her lips and crossed her arms. She shook her head. "Well, I don't have any weapons. If that even counts." She said putting her hands in the air. The girl walked closer to where she assumed the person was. Her eyes glanced around. Before she could see him, she tripped over a vine and fell towards him. A small shriek came from her mouth.

Sage reached for the girl when she tripped, grabbing her elbow to steady her before retreating a few steps again, wondering why he'd done that. "You don't need a weapon to hurt someone," he sighed, crossing his arms and giving the girl a defensive look. "What's your name?" She'd probably recognize him, if she lived in the area...or at least she'd know his name when he introduced himself. The castle pretty much kept him almost secret, his father always keeping him locked up, so she may not know his face, but everyone knew his name, if they lived in the kingdom.
