The girl watched the pair in amusement, turning around and resting her head on the back of her chair. It was sweet how they got along. Anya and her cousins had nothing in common, and it would likely be the same if she had siblings. They would have an awful rivalry in the end. The girl let a thin smile grow on her lips. Sage could go from being all serious to completely letting go. It was refreshing to see. And to see Lizzie actually being a child. Most of the kids in the village seemed to lifeless snd quite frankly bored. Anya huffed out a long sigh as she relaxed back into the chair, enjoying the friendly feel that filled the tavern before she'd have to leave again.

Sage climbed back up onto the chair and got a very funny, very risky idea. Of course, he knew Anya wouldn't care if he startled her, so it would be mostly fun. He snuck up behind her and jumped up onto the table behind her chair, grabbing a spoon and tapped her with it. "The beast has awoken and taken a prisoner," he growled playfully at Lizzie, wanting Anya to have some fun too. Her household sounded like a more upright one, and he wanted her to be able to relax too. "I'm coming to save you! Ooo I know! You're the princess and sage is the dragon! And I'm the brave knight who's a girl," Lizzie giggled. Sage shrugged and growled at her. "I'm a big mean dragon and you'd better watch out," he yelled at Lizzie playfullu, trying not to laugh as he did so.

Anya had been a little caught off gaurd when she was dragged into their little game, going still for a moment. This issue with never being involved in such things as a child, was that she never actually learnt to play. Anya was perfectly happy watching from afar, but she eventually relaxed a little. She looked back at Sage with a teasingly wrinkled nose, "AAAH, the disgusting beast has got me," she huffed in a slightly toned down shreak. Well, thats was just about all she could think of. Maybe her acting skills werent quite up to scratch. A bright smile came back onto her face. "I need a knight -whos a girl- to come and save me," she announced as an after thought.

Lizzie shrieked with laughter and charged sage, who ducked away from her attack, laughing. They started a game of chase around Anya, sage keeping her between himself and Lizzie. He was glad Anya was playing along...sometimes playing helped relax him after a long day, and he hoped it would help her as well. He assumed neither of them got to act like kids when they were younger, so why not do it now? They were still technically kids, after all.

Anya grinned as she tried to focus on one of them. Well, she tried to focus on one of them, but she found herself becoming a little dizzy. She paused her spinning for a moment, using the table to hold herself up. She felt like a child - a young one, but she didn't hate it. She hadn't been so genuinely happy in so long. It was strange how the night had gone, with an unfortunate start, sparring wirh a tavern boy (with spoons) to playing around with a girl no older than 8. Anyone looking in on them would have thought them mad. She supposed it was all apart of the fun.

Sage was doing pretty well running away from Lizzie until she suddenly climbed over the table and jumped on top of him. He could have caught her, but instead he let her knock him over. She poked him with the spoon as he pretended she had him pinned down. He was giggling again, and complaining playfully, trying to sound like the big bad dragon Lizzie was imagining. "Ack, oh no, the very heroic knight has killed me," he cried dramatically and Lizzie hopped up with a grin and ran over to Anya. "You're free! Now we can go live in the castle together and play all day long and ride horses and eat lots of yummy food all day long!" Sage sat up and grinned, watching the two of them interact.

Anya nodded and gave the girl a grin, gently holding her hand up to the sky as if she had won a battle. "My hero!" She squeaked brightly, letting a soft chuckle escape her. Anya found herself rather fond of Lizzie's version of the castle. Why not make it sound even better? "We'll have everything we want my noble night! Tea parties, balls, you name it!" Anya cooed in an excited tone, "and guess what..." She started, "We'll never have to tidy up again." She whispered, her voice going higher, a bit like an excitable child. Anya had never really spoken to anyone so younger than her, not since she was little. Still, she settled quite quickly with Lizzie, despite struggling for words.

Lizzie squealed and pumped her fists in the air. "Yay! We can use the dragon pelt as decoration!" She reached over and grabbed sages shirt collar and dragged him over to the group. Sage yelped in surprise, not realizing she could drag him around almost as easily as he could carry her around. He was just dragged along the ground...he didn't stand up or anything, she just tugged him along. He was shocked for a moment and then started laughing lightly for a moment. "I guess I'll just lay her and be a rug," he joked.

Anya blinked a few times as she watched the boy get dragged along the floor. By an eight year old, no less. She pursed her lips before covering her mouth as she tried to hide a laugh. It was safe to say she hadn't done a good job of it. Though, It wasn't very often you saw such a thing. She peered over Sage for a moment, a small smirk on her face, "I'm sure you'll make a gorgeous rug. Just sit and look pretty," She snickered, wrinkling her nose teasingly before looking back toward Lizzie with a grin, "Perfect!" She chirped.

Sage snorted out a laugh and crossed his legs and sat and watched the girls. Lizzie grabbed Anya's hands and started spinning. "History dance," she giggled. Sage smiled softly, glad Lizzie had another girl to interact with. He tired his best, but Lizzie needed her own friends, and she needed another female in her life. Especially since their mother had been killed only a few months after Lizzie was born.
