Sage smiled down at her and patted her head thankfully. "I know you are Cass." A moment later he added "thanks," really grateful to her for sticking with him when everyone else had left him. Cass was the only person he could trust, though he'd get to know Alex too, who seemed like a decent guy. If Cass liked him then he could too. Besides, he knew what being alone was like, werewolf or not. |

Her tail wagged softly -Is there anything else we should look for or are we okay now?- they had to be careful with their time that way they weren't walking outside in the dark and vulnerable to anything around them. Alexander shifted into his human form and ga groaned in slight pain "God I have been in that form for weeks to stay warm" he rolled back his shoulders. He stood at 6'1 with short, red hair and emerald green eyes. He was thin and his tank top was tattered but his basketball shorts were fine except dirty. Despite how thin he looked, he still had some muscle tone to him from being a werewolf. |

Sage thought for a moment and shrugged. "We can probably get going. I don't think there's much here besides the clothes we grabbed already." He had to admit Alex was good looking....if he and Cass weren't already together he might be a bit jealous at how close they were. But he grinned over at him. "Imagine that," he chuckled. |

"Here I can take one of those bags" he walked over to Sage to take a backpack from him and he put it on. His bright green eyes looked down at Cassidy and he pet the top of her head "I'm just glad to see you are okay and you found someone. I think your birthday is coming up isn't it?" he questioned. Cassidy shrugged -I lost track. My birthday doesn't mean anything to me anymore- she admitted. Alex understood but he looked at Sage "You're her age, right?" |

Sage grunted and nodded. "As far as I can remember we're both seventeen. Though neither of us have kept track of birthdays the past few months." It was nice of Alex to take a bag, even if he didn't need to. He could definitely trust the guy...and if Cass trusted and liked him Sage knew it was probably alright. |

He scoffed "So you both let your birthdays go out of the window instead of trying to hold onto something normal? Cass, your birthday is in December. Sage I have no idea when your birthday is but we can make up one for you" he chuckled and patted his shoulder. "You two need to hold onto the normal things if you want to survive this." Cassidy rolled her eyes -You are still the same person, Alex. Trying to see the light in the darkness.- |

Sage chuckled and shook his head. "Then go ahead and make one up. My parents never told me and we never celebrated so by all means make one up. All I know is that it's spring sometime." Alex seemed like a good guy to have around .. finding the light of things was something sage really couldn't do. It was the opposing fact...he'd pick out all the bad things that had happypr would happen or even could happen. It was habit from having only himself for so long, but admittedly it made his head a dark, pretty sad place. Cass helped of course, she'd helped a lot, but he still couldn't block certain thoughts, and he still had nightmares, though he was careful not to wake Cass when he scared himself awake seeing his father in a dream. The flashbacks still came too, even if they were so common. |

He thought for a moment "Eh let's just say your birthday is in April. There, now you have a birthday and we will celebrate it with a fish cake" he joked with a playful smirk. Although a fish cake to Alex didn't sound too bad right now with the lack of food he has been eating lately. Cassidy made a face -A fish cake sounds disgusting. Maybe a baked bean cake?- she joked along with Alex and she even laughed a little. -I would kill to have a real cake right now- she admitted and her stomach even grumbled at the thought of the delicious sweet. |

Sage shrugged. "April it is." Sage grinned when they started joking around. "Might even be a berry cake," he laughed with a shake of his head. When Cass mentioned a real cake he nodded. "maybe we can find ingredients and an oven somewhere," he told them, though he doubted it. It would be nice to try though....it would be a nice treat. |

-A berry cake doesn't sound too bad- it sounded a lot better than a bean cake or even a fish cake. She did want to celebrate Sage's birthday so maybe they could find a calendar and keep track of the days that way they could remember everyone's birthday to celebrate it. It would be nice to try and hold onto something normal to try and get through the days. Alex hummed "If we can find cake mix and a pot then we can make a cake over a fire. It gets hot enough" he was sure people scavenging wouldn't take cake mixes considering it's powder and no one wants to eat powder. |
