Malakai Negri - Malakai chuckled. "If I could fix it, it would've been fixed a long time ago," he countered with a playful smile. He chuckled and laid out in the sun with her, like a house cat bathing in the sun. He loosely spooned her from behind, one arm gently wrapped around her waist. "I love you..." he murmured with a soft smile, watching her watch the water. She was beautiful, the lake was beautiful, everything was perfect.

Camery Valatieri - Camery rolled her eyes playfully at him, though soon settled down. It was quiet... but surprisingly, it wasn't uncomfortable. She let out a delighted hun when she felt his arm wrap around her, and moved to wrap her fingers around his hand, bringing it up to her lips to press a soft kiss to it. She turned her head a little, a soft chuckle escaping her. "I know you do," she murmured, a smile still gentle across her features. "I love you too," she then added. It was all so... perfect. She turned to him after a few minutes, her hand still in his. "You said you had siblings?" She asked softly. "What are they like?"

Malakai Negri - Malakai smiled wrapping himself around her in a big hug, kissing her cheek. He squeezed her tightly for a moment before loosening his grip on her but still hugging her. "Well, they're nothing like me. They are both very bright and happy people, social butterflies with big friend groups. My sister likes to sleep in and spend most of her time between the pages of a book, and my brother is into archery and hunting. I hope my sister hasn't become my father's new anger outlet. They don't know about the things my father has done to me, I'm afraid he might try to do it to one of them while I'm gone," he explained. Nothing he said here was a lie, it was all true.

Camery Valatieri - Camery grinned when he squeeezed her. It was such a simple thing... but it showed he loved her. She couldn't be more grateful for him. She smiled and moved to press a light kiss to his nose, relaxing a little as her hand ran up and down his arm soothingly. She listened intently as he spoke of his siblings... they sounded like good people. At least he had those people in his life - it wasn't all his fathers wrath. He deserved those good people, and it was obvious he cared for them immensely. She let out a soft breath, a small smile crossing she face. "They sound wonderful," she smiled lightly. The kind of people she'd get along with, probably. She couldn't help but wonder what he was like with them. "Younger or older?" She asked curiously. She paused for a moment when he mentioned his father, though. She squeezed his arm gently. "Well, you said he was sick... surely that means he can't do much," she whispered. She then looked thoughtful. "I'm sure I could set them up with jobs in the castle if you wanna get them out of there," she chirped hopefully.

Malakai Negri - "Both younger," he replied. "They are wonderful," Kai loved his siblings deeply. With terrible parents, you have to band together with your siblings. As much as Kai would love to take his siblings and himself here and stay here forever, he knew he couldn't. "I can't, they're still under 18," he explained, coming up with another excuse, though it was true. "Just because my father is sick doesn't mean he won't hurt them. It hasn't ever stopped him from hurting me before."

Camery Valatieri - Camery furrowed her brows softly after a moment, her eyes doey. She hated this... she hated that no matter how much you wanted to so something, there was someone else always stopping you. She sighed softly to him, and sort of rolled over to pull him in playfully. "Well, in a normal situation, yes... but you just so happen to have a princess who's head over heels for you," she whispered to him playfully. "If you wanted, we can get the out is all I'm saying," she then added softly. She raised a brow at him. She looked so thoughtful, just trying to think of ways that would keep his family safe, but she had a feeling he'd try and shut them all down. She pouted after a moment, pullling him in again and resting her head on his. "Well... I bet you're the best big brother," she shispered, pecking his head before sitting up again, looking over the lake comfortably.

Malakai Negri - Malakai smiled and kissed her nose. "You're too good to me..." he murmured to her lovingly. "And as much as I would love that, I would have to explain to them why I was moving them away from their parents. I don't have to heart to tell them that their father actually hits me," he said sadly. Kai wanted to take his siblings away from the mess in the Night Kingdom, move into the Day Kingdom, but his youngest brother, only 9, was too careless, he would forget he couldn't go out at night. And his sister, 15, wouldn't appreciate being taken away from her friends and the familiar life she was used to. He smiled at her, sitting up with her, propping himself back on his elbows.

Camery Valatieri - Camery smiled at his little peck, her cheeks bubbling up in a way that said she was just so grateful for him. He was a pretty cool person. She thought so, anyway. She did understand, though... he wanted to protect his siblings, keep them thinking their father was something better than what he was. Though, it didn't take long for her to become curious again. "Does anyone else know... like at all?" She asked with a slightly cocked head. She was curious about it all... and she did want to helps where she could, but she also understood his worries. Especially if his father was sick. It was probably best to make sure his siblings thought better of their dad, especially if he wasn't going to have long left. She looked over at him, her eyes soft as he propped himself up. She really didn't think she'd ever met anyone so perfect. He had a good head on his shoulders, a mindful and wise one. It was the opposite of her, she supposed. She messed things up more frequently than she'd like, and she never seemed to take things too seriously. She'd make a joke about anything if she could see a punchline. Her actions were rash and sporadic, and really you never knew what she was planning next. He was good for her. She'd been so much calmer since she'd met him. "I don't think you realise what a good guy you are," she chuckled lightly. It was true... she had a feeling he didn't see himself the way she saw him at all, and she couldn't help but be saddened by the fact. She looked out, the sun starting to set and the golden lines adorning her skin were sinking away. She leaned over to press a soft kiss to his cheek. "We'd better get going," she whispered happily.

Malakai Negri - Malakai shook his head. "Only you," he smiled softly at her. She was the first person he had ever trusted before. He chuckled along with her, although he didn't agree with her. He was a terrible person. He lied to her. But he still loved her. Nothing would ever change that. "Yeah, we probably should," he nodded, agreeing, standing up, holding out his hand to her to help her up too. . ( Should this be the night he stays and confesses to her? I'm like aching for that to happen, )

(Yeah nee too 😭 sounds good!) Camery Valatieri - Camery took his had happily, pulling herself up and entwining her arms with his, holding his hand with the other. It was such a basic movment... but it made her feel so close to him in a way she could never describe. She loved him, more and more with each passing second. It just made it all the worse now that he was leaving so soon. It wa a relatio nship she desperately wanted, needed, but now? It was going to be gone when it had barely started. He said he'd be back, but it didn't make it any better. She didn't know how long he would be gone for, and the truth of it was that it just put her on edge. As the wandered back to her room, they both fell back onto their roles, him just a few steps behind her to keep an eye. Once they'd landed back in her room, though, she turned to wrap her hands around his neck, leaning in to peck his lips happily. "Why don't you stay tonight? I just wanna spend a bit of time with you," she asked hopefully, her eyes light as she stared up at him.
