Sage grunted with a nod in response to her comment, wrinkling his nose slightly. "well...if we walk slow we might make it thirty," he noted, a ghost of a smile forming on his face for a moment before it was quickly changed into his normal bored expression. It was a mask he kept on well....it was easier that way. Besides, he couldn't be getting all friendly with the prisoners he was supposed to be gaurding. He could be respectful....he gave what he got, and so far this girl had been nice. But he wasn't stupid. He wasn't going to just become friends with them all. Wasn't going to share personal details with them. That was just askign for trouble.

Alleyah grinned slightly, something she hadn't done in a while, and slowed her pace, testing to see how true his statement was. She glanced at the guard then back to the small trees then back at the ground, giving slight hops every so often to jump on another leaf, a small upward tilt of her lips forming at the satisfying crunches.

Sage let out the ghost of a chuckle when he noted the way the girls face lit up, and he slowed his pace to match hers, watching her hop from leaf to leaf. It was amusing really, and made him wonder why she'd wound up in a cell. For murder of all things. It made him want to join her....to just hop around and have some fun. But he couldn't, he knew that. He supposed he'd never been able to just have fun. He doubted he could relax enough here, either, even when he wasn't with anyone. It was an odd feeling, needing to be so mature all the time when really he just wanted to mess about a little here and there.

Alleyah kept jumping around until the leaves stopped crunching under her busted up sneakers. She sighed. "Is there a field anywhere? Like somewhere to play soccer or softball or football or something?" She asked. Just speaking about her favorite sport made her tense up. Her future had been ripped from her grasp and she had nothing to do about it now.

Sage sort of cocked his head in response to the girls comment, humming lightly in thought. "I'm not sure. Got in last night," he admitted. He wasn't sure where half the things were still. "I can look around once I'm off. See what's around, find any holes in the rules," he added casually, not really caring very much about their rules.

"holes in the rules" she chuckled "You're funny" she shook her head, giving him a sideways glance. Ally shook her head and continued forward. "Good luck finding ont of those" she said, wanting to get back to Dale and annoy the crap out of him again

Sage sort of hummed, lips twitching into a sort of half smile. "Oh, it's easier than you'd expect," he noted mischievously, a slight glitter forming in his eyes. "Gotta have some kind of fun," he mused. "A cop isn't exactly.... thrilling. They're all fat for a reason," he added with a snort. It was true ....his job was literally to just sit there. Make sure no one killed anyone. Unless he had to kill someone. Then there was that, which was stupid.
