Chris ran through the forest cutting his leg as he did. He got no more than a few kilometers from their last resting place before stopping and sitting down, "I can't go any further my leg is killing me" he said placing pressure on the wound

Annika stopped, panting as she leaned over. "We have to keep going" she pulled part of her sleeve off and tied it around his leg over the cut. "Come on" she bent down beside him. "You have to go as far as you can, please" she looked Chris in the eyes. "Please"

Chris pulled himself up and ignored the pain for Annika sake and safety. Slowly the forest started to become thinner and the tree's less. A clearing came into view, with the sun slowly setting this seemed like a good place to rest, "I think we should stop here for the night"

Annika wordlessly agreed, sitting on the grass. "How will we sleep here though?" she asked, her eyes searching for some type of durable covering for them to sleep under. She clinged to Chris's arm, huddling close to him

Chris rumaged around but it was becoming harder to see as the sun continued to set. He noticed a small pile of leaves, "This will have to do" he fixed the leaves up a little and relaxed on the semi soft ground.

She stood for a second, her eyes wandering around. She breathed a sigh then settled down beside him, her back against his side. She curled her knees to her chest she let out another breath

Chris slowly started to fall asleep. He woke up with a start, -Ok it's still dark- he heard Annika softly breathing and relaxed a little. -The noises of the forest kept him awake sometime in his thoughts.
