Malakai Negri - Malakai shook his head. It wasn't her fault this happened. It would never be her fault, it was his. "Its not your fault..." he replied, voice barely above a whisper. He still loved her and always would. "I never should've lied to you... I'm sorry..." he looked at his feet shamefully. This was all his fault.

Camery Valatieri - Camery looked down as he spoke, her eyes watching the soft movment of her dress as it covered her feet. She felt awful. She still didn't feel safe here. Not with him, not with these people. She had been raised not to be too trusting of them. He'd gotten to know her, her family, the people that would have been working with, and yet all she knew was him. Not even the real him. "No, you shouldn't have lied," she whispered softly. Her voice was about to break. "You stood there infront of me, you told me you loved me. I said it back, but the only difference was that you knew who I am. I didn't know who you were," she muttered. She looked up at him, pleading for him to tell her anything else. Explain why he waited so long, why he couldn't tell her before she let him in. "I didn't know you were a prince - a king, now," she breathed. "I didn't know you ruled over a kingdom."

Malakai Negri - Malakai stared at his feet shamefully. He hated himself for what he'd done. Camery didn't get to know him, but she got to know the person he wished he could be. He never wanted to be king. He still didn't. "I know... I'm sorry..." he whispered. "I shouldn'tve done it... I know I shouldn'tve... but I had to... if I got caught I would've died or worse... and my siblings... they would've become my fathers new anger outlet... I couldn't have that happen..." he whispered, tears trickling down his face, dripping onto the stone floor below him. "I wanted to tell you... I did... but I couldn't..."

Camery looked up at him quietly, her shoulders sagging. She hated all of this. He should have said something sooner, much sooner. He couldn't even really tell her the full extent of how bad his father was until now. She let out a soft breath, her neck strained as she tried to make it look like she wasn't so... upset about this whole thing. She didn't understand it all. She didn't know what to say, but when she saw tears dripping from his face, she shook her head and wandered up to him, albeit a little hesitantly. A hand rested on his cheek, while the other wiped the tears away. "We can't do anything about it now," she whispered. "My father is furious," she then added carefully.

Malakai nodded, looking at her as he continued to cry. "I know... I'm sorry... this is all my fault..." he cried. Kai wanted to bury himself in her and just stay with her forever, but he knew he couldn't. "I'm sorry... I still love you... I'm sorry..."

Camery Valatieri - Camery shook her head as he cried, his tears just seeming to fall heavier. She hated seeing him like this, it hurt... but now, she just seemed to relax. He really didn't mean for any of this to happen. He wouldn't be reacting like this if he didn't. She sighed when he continued to cry, wanting to comfort him the best she could. It would be a lie to say she loved him now. She was terrified of the power of his kingdom held, what he could do with it. But he was there, crying infront of her and she didn't want to see that. "Kai," she murmured softly, wrapping a hand around the back of his neck and gently pulling his head down into his shoulder, her fingers running through his hair softly, but not lovingly. "Forget about it, hm?" She murmured into his ear. "I cant do anything about this now," she whispered, her voice still gentle. "But you're a king. You have the power to change things," she added. She took his cheek in her hand, gently pushing him to stand upright. She wiped his tears away carefully. "You need to be strong. You have a kingdom to look after."

Malakai kept crying, he shook his head. "I don't know what to do... I can't do anything right..." he sobbed. He didn't know what to do. He still loved her, and she couldn't say it back. She didn't love him anymore... He shook his head. "I don't want to live in a world where you're not by my side... I can't..." his voice fading into a whisper.

Camery shook her head at him, her hands still firm on his face. "Yes, you can," she murmured softly. "You made one mistake. It was a big one, but it's not the end of the world," she whispered to him. She couldn't rightfully say she still loved him. It would be a lie. She loved her bodyguard, her boyfriend, she loved Kai. She couldn't in any world love someone from the Night Kingdom. Not even him, not after he lied to her for so long about it. Maybe it would be different if he'd came outright with it... but he hadn't. Her fingers tightened on his cheeks just a little, the movment hopefully being a comfort to him. "You have to keep going, Malakai," her heart was in her throat. "And it's going to have to be without me," she added. "You have a whole kingdom of people looking to you for guidance. You can't abandon them."

Malakai was sobbing. Fully sobbing. "I can't... everyone hates me... you don't love me... I don't want to be king... I don't want to be part of this kingdom... I hate who I am... I don't want to do this anymore... I'm all alone..." he collapsed onto the ground, onto his knees sobbing. The guard in the corner saw this, and slipped out of the room.

Camery listened to him quietly, hoping that maybe ranting about all of this would help him settle. Ranting to someone who'd listen, that was. She jumped a little when he fell to his knees, though, and just stared at him for a moment before looking back towards Jack. She wandered over to him, tapping him on the shoulder to wake him up. "Go wait outside, please," she whispered. He took a glance at the man on the floor, and nodded quietly. She watched him leave before looking back at Malakai, and wandered back over to him, settling down in the cold stone floor beneath them. He was still sobbing his eyes out. She just went quiet for a moment, thinking as she tried to find words for him. She ran her fingers through his hair quietly. "No, not everyone hates you at all," she whispered. "I don't love you, but I definitely don't hate you," she continued. "You have your siblings, your mother..." she looked away for a moment, then back at him. "You have a whole kingdom of people around you, and they're going to love you." "You're far from alone, Malakai. You can't get out of being king, but you can be a good king," she added softly.
