Malakai Negri - Malakai sobbed his eyes out. She didn't understand what he really meant. He had been with many women, none of which he loved and none of which loved him. No one had ever thought of his as something more than the heir to the throne. No one until Camery. And now she didn't love him. She loved who Kai wished he could be, not the person he was, the person he resented. "I'm all alone in this... my people may love me, but they can't help me... I don't know what to do... I don't want to do this anymore... I don't want to live... I can't..." he sobbed.

Camery Valatieri - Camery sighed softly to him, her fingers still playing slightly on his scalp. She didn't know what to say to him. She was trying, but he wasn't taking it in. He didn't want to believe her, and so he didn't. "Malakai, babe," she whispered, gently trying to dry his face off. "Yes, Kai, you do want to live," she murmured softly. "There's someone out there, someone who really wants to help you," she added, her brows pinching together. She wanted to help... but he didn't think she understood. Maybe she didn't, but she was trying to help the best she could. "Your siblings are still around. They'll look up to you, trust you, love you," she went on. Her brows stayed tightly furrowed, her heart breaking for him. She loved him more than anything, but that was before she knew about it all. Why he was there, or why he was trying to get close to her in the first place. "People will want to help you. You haven't even given them a chance yet," she muttered.

Malakai Negri - Kai shook his head, burying his face in his hands. "Who wants to help me? Who wants me?" he questioned. "My father didn't want me... you don't want me... no one has ever wanted me..." he sobbed.

Camery Valatieri - Camery furrowed her brows slightly, her heart pounding in her chest as she tried to think of something that might help him. She watched for a moment, her hand trailing down to the back of his neck, her fingers and thumbs gently massaging him. "I want to help you," she whispered. She couldn't comment on who wanted him. She had, at some point, just not now. Probably not for a while, either. "And you'll find someone who wants to be with you. Someone who wants to spend their life with you. Just because that someone isn't me doesn't mean no one wants you." When he mentioned his father, she sighed and shook her head. "That's not true, hun," she murmured softly. "Your dad was a vile man. You have other family. You can't base everyone's opinions if you off him..." she trailed off slightly, shaking her head. "I'd never forgive myself if anything happened to you because of all this," it was her fault he felt like this. Because she didn't love him anymore. But that didn't mean no one did. She took his hands in hers, away from his face and sat him up. "Look, I know it's hard but you have to be brave," she told him, meeting his eyes. "You're still young, still have a whole life ahead of you. You don't have be be alright right now, but one day, you will be," she told him calmly.

Malakai Negri - Malakai shook his head. "My mother wanted me to marry at 16... my father asked the entire kingdom and nearby kingdoms for any maidens wishing to marry me, come to the castle... I resented it at first... but it hurt... it really hurt... no one showed up..." he sobbed. "No one wants me... why do you think all those reporters were asking if I was going to marry?... you don't even want me..." he mumbled sobbing. He didn't want to live in this world anymore.

Camery shook her head quickly at him. She tapped his chin, making him look at her. "That's not because it was you," she murmured softly. "That's because of your father. He was a scary man, Malakai," she whispered. "You though, you are king now. You already made a difference, and it really hasn't been very long," she added quickly. She sat up for a moment in through, when he said even she didn't want him. Well, that did hurt a little. "Even I don't want you," she repeated. He made it sound like she was some kind of last resort. She rolled her eyes a little, and patted his back softly. "Look, Malakai, someone will want you. They just have to see you, not your father, or what he's done," she repeated.

Malakai Negri - Thats not what he meant. Kai meant that it as she used to want him. She wanted him when he wasn't the prince or the king or a part of the Night Kingdom. Now she didn't want him because he was the king. If she didn't want him when she knew what he really was, even though none of his personality changed, who would want him? "I don't want just anyone... I want you..." he sobbed. "I don't want to be here without you... I can't do it... I just can't..."

Camery Valatieri - Camery sighed softly, pulling away from him for a moment. "Malakai," she breathed softly. "You can't have me because you want me," she muttered softly. "But I'm still here. If you need me..." she trailed off a little, her eyes looking down. Her eyes snapped back up at him. "I thought you were more like your father than you were letting on, but now..." she trailed off, watching him sob. "Not so much. But you still lied to me, and I can't forgive that," she murmured softly. "But you have to keep going. If it's not you, then it's your sister or your brother, and they're just to young to deal with all this."

Malakai Negri - Malakai shook his head. "I'm never going to be able to have you again, am I?..." she asked, voice barely above a whisper. "I know... I know I lied and I hate myself for it..." he muttered, voice full of self-loathing. Kai hated himself. Hated himself for lying to her, for being what he was, for wanting to kill himself and put all this stress on someone else. He hated himself so much.

Camery Valatieri - Camery shook her head a little, her gaze soft. "No, probably not," she whispered to him. "I still love you," she murmured carefully. "Just... I loved my bodyguard. My boyfriend. I loved him because I felt safe with him, like I could always trust him," she explained softly. "I don't love that he was keeping things from me. Big things." She watched him for a moment, and sort of moved to wrap a nervous arm around his back. "I don't hate you for it," she whispered gently. "I could never hate you, so don't beat yourself up," she added.
