Camery settled down just nexto to him, trying to find a comfortable way to sit before just giving up and leaning herself against him. She took a few bites before glancing over at him with a small hum. "No, but thats not new," she mused softly to him. She hadn't felt good in... a while now. But, that was to be expected she supposed.

Kai fell silent, putting his food to the side, losing his appetite. "... cam? Do you regret getting pregnant?" He asked her softly. "Are you not excited for it anymore?"

Cam ate quietly for a few moments, but her eyes snapped open at his question. What sort of question was that? Of course not. She was excited for the baby, but she was hating this part of it. She was in pain, she felt sick and she was struggling to sleep... there was nothing she could even do about it. She just stared at him for a second, her mouth hanging open and her brows pinched slightly together in something resembling anger. "I'm sorry i've not been myself lately, but Kai. I. Am. Carrying. Your. Child." She nearly hissed the words. "Of course i'm excited, but this has been so hard on me. Everything hurts. I feel so sick, all of the time, and I mean... look at me. I look as disgusting as I feel. I'm trying my best," she mumbled.

Kai was a little taken aback by her tone. He had been just trying to make her happy and make sure she was comfortable and happy, but no matter what he did he felt like he was making it worse. She hadnt been truly happy in ages and Kai kept trying to help, but it just got harder and he didn't understand. "Thats not- I- you're not disgusting- I meant- Sorry... nevermind..." he stuttered, looking down at his hands, not touching his food, having lost his appetite entirely.

Camery just shook her head as he started stumbling over his words. She knew he was trying to make her happy, but she had a feeling they'd just have to wait this out. "Look, Kai. The baby is due soon. You don't have to stick around trying to make me happy all the time. Go do your work, distract yourself, and i'll deal with this," she breathed after a moment. The last thing she wanted to do was make him upset too.

Kai nodded. "Okay," he just replied quietly, still looking at his hands. Maybe it was him. Maybe it was him that was upsetting her more. He knew that the main reason was that she didn't like pregnancy, but maybe he was making it worse. So if she wanted him to leave her alone, he would. Anything to make her happy.

Camery followed his gaze down to his hand, and sort of reached out to wrap her fingers softly through his. "I know... it's hard. And I know you're trying to help, but it's really not your fault. Let's go home, you can get so work done and maybe tonight we could just have some dinner, then curl up and watch a movie? I'd like that," she whispered quietly. She didn't want him upset because of her either. She just knew that no matter what she did she'd still feel this way. Still feel disgusted by herself, still feel like something was gonna go wrong at any moment.

Kai nodded, still unable to make eye contact. "Okay..." he replied quietly. The two of them walked back up to the castle in silence, Kai just staring at his feet. When they got back up to the castle, he let go of her hand and practically disappeared to his office. Thats what she wanted him to do. Not be around.

Camery offered a soft smile and started wandering back with him when he made the move to leave. Although, she did start panicking when he didn't speak to her. She didn't want to upset him, all she wanted was to try and make him understand that it wasn't on him to make her feel better. She sighed, staring at his office door for a solid five minutes before shaking her head and moving to waddle back up to their room tiredly. She'd speak to him later... right now, she was to worn down to even think of any of this.

Kai had a little panic attack in his office that afternoon. It lasted an hour or so before he managed to collect himself and finish up his work. He had a bathroom attached to his office as well, so he also took a quick shower, scrubbing off all the dried paint off himself from this morning. Eventually, he made his way back up to their room and entered, carrying dinner. "Hi," he said quietly, still unable to make eye contact. He set the tray of food in front of her and got into bed next to her. He didn't touch the food. He'd lost his appetite.
