Rose didn't hear him, too deep into the memories as she fought against them hard. Caden walked out to the balcony, the wind blew, and the sun beamed. "How long are you going to stare at the city?" He asks, walking to the rail. "I don't know." She said, feeling the fray on her shorts touch her legs.

Caden got out of the shower and saw Rose still out on the balcony. He softened as he filled with a smidge of sorrow, walking over and slowly--after making his prescence known--placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to offer a silent comfort.
| |
Rose didn't say anything for a moment until she took a shaky breath. "Do you ever think about the times you and I were both taken from each other?" She asked quietly
| |
Caden stayed quiet, taking a step forward next to Rose.He leaned over the guardrail, barely catching her sentence. "Everyday.Whether it's ver faint or very strong, everyday."
| |
Rose was silent for a few moments. "Do you ever fear we may relive them again?" She asked, her voice slightly chaky toward the end of her sentence
| |
Caden didn't answer the question, just clasped his hands tightly together and flickered his gaze to the ground, tilting his head aswell as he let the silence wrap around them like a cocoon.
| |
Rose took his silence as a yes. "I'm just scared to lose you..." She said quietly, not looking at him
| |
"I'm just scared to lose.Lose to the gang,lose you,lose my mind,lose myself .. . . . . . ." He trailed off,knowing she got the message.
| |
"Have you..." She paused, wondering if she should finish the sentence. "Have you heard anything about the gang since...last time?"
| |
Caden stiffened, taking a step back and about to turn back into the mansion. He opened his mouth to say something but shut it,turning on his heel and quickly heading inside.Caden darted into the house and grabbed his phone, hands shaking as he deleated the texts he'd gotten-no,the threads which he'd traded with the gang--and deleated them, they only existing in his trash now.
