Celeste Harlow - ~Timeskip through traveling because I don't want to write that rn~ Celeste walked quickly down the pitch black town streets all the way to the tavern. Thankfully it was just before closing time, and the tavern owner was still awake. Celeste rushed up to the man in a hurry. "One room for 2 weeks, and I want every night, including tonight, with Sage (last name insert here)." she said holding out 350 dollars. That was more than enough for her order, and hopefully the man would be smart and take it, otherwise she would have to punish the tavern owner for being so disrespectful.

Sage hadn't noticed the girl come in, since he was cleaning up and busily getting the last bit of customers up and out. The tavern owner blinked down at the girl who had suddenly came up on him but grinned lazily at her, snatching the money. "So the boy does have something at least somewhat useful in him," he mused slowly, tossing her the keys to a room. "Room one," he noted. "Our best room for our richest customer," he added before moving to storm into the kitchen and bark sages name. Sage had moved to respond but evidently it wasn't fast enough for him, as the cane had landed a blow to his side, enough to make him stagger and grip the edge of a table in an attempt not to fall. He nodded dully in response to the man's comments, heart losing in his throat. Two weeks in a room? That was about as bad as it got. And how was he supposed to care for Liz? His father certainly couldn't. But he moved slowly to the room and slide inside, surprised to see the girl from the night before. Celeste, was it? Yeah, he thought so. "Why on earth would you want to stay here for two weeks, of all places," he asked incredulously.

( Sry its super short :P ) Celeste Harlow - Celeste handed the money over and snatched the keys out of the air. She immediately went up to the room and set down her things. The room was bigger, nicer, and a little cleaner than the last room she stayed in. The room also had its own bathroom with a large shower, this was something Celeste enjoyed very much. After she'd gotten settled she plopped down on the bed with the black letter in her hands waiting for Sage. As Sage came in, she listened to him, but instead of answering she just held out the letter. "When you finish reading, don't panic, stay and let me explain."

Sage blinked over at the girl when she spoke up, rather confused. His nose twitched when he picked up the agitated state of the girl. But he took the letter anyway, sitting down on a chair with a sigh as he opens it. He felt his eyebrows raise as he skimmed the letter, humming as he handed it back to her, a fint smile forming on his face. "So you're an assassin," he noted calmly. "I do believe if you kill me, you're required to take care of my daughter," he added, knowing that was sort of how things worked. That...may not be his first choice, but if the girl could get to a good home, with adults with money could help her....well, he'd be alright with that, he supposed.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste let him read the letter and when he spoke up, she had to think about his answer. Is that what other assasins did? Did they really have to take care of the children of the victims they killed? Celeste always had to kill the victim and the bloodline if the victim was a parent. "Um... no. I'm afraid quite the opposite. My Empress requests that your entire bloodline is terminated." she said evenly, not moving from her spot on the bed. Celeste didn't want to kill this boy. She still didn't quite know what he had done wrong to anger the Empress, but what could he have done? Sage was just a boy, working day and night just to feed his daughter.

Sage let out a sort of breath when she mentioned she'd have to kill Liz too. Well, that would be an issue. The whole point of his miserable existence was to take care of the girl. "I suppose it would be a mercy to kill her quickly once I'm gone," he admitted after a moment. Though, that did bring a thought to mind. "Wait....why come here? Why tell me? And use the room for two weeks," he asked, cocking his head slightly, as he normally did when curious or thinking hard about something. Much like a dog or wolf would do. "Why haven't you already killed me?" It just didn't make any sense to him.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste sighed. She had thought about just sucking it up and kill them both, but she found it wrong and she couldn't bring herself to do so. But for a mortal boy with a child, he was surprisingly very calm and chill about the possiblityof being killed. "I don't want to kill you, or your daughter either." Celeste responded honestly. "I don't know why I kill the people I kill. I am assigned the target and kill. Though all of my victims have been disgusting lowlives who don't deserve anymore time on this earth, until now. I assume they've done something terribly wrong to irritate the Empress, and they probably have, but your just a teenage boy, running around, working his ass off, just to feed his child, whos mother is deceased." Celeste explained, watching Sage, and knowing that last bit of information due to Sage's assasination papers. "I have no desire to kill you. Both you and your daughter have a future, and I do not want to be the one to sabatoge that." She finished explaining the first part. "I booked the room for two weeks for the purpose of keeping you busy, out of trouble, and thats the most amount of time I can keep you alive out in the world before the Empress starts looking for my head. Then I'll hafta think of something else to keep all of us alive." she finished, still looking over at Sage.

Sage couldn't help but be surprised when the girl said she didn't want to kill him. It didn't make much sense...she'd just met him. And he didn't consider himself much better than the other lowlifes, as she'd put it. "Ah," he mused, chuckling slightly when she mentioned they'd all probably done something to irritate the Empress. "I probably insulted her at some point or another," he noted with a shrug. Though, he cocked his head at her slightly. "Do we," he asked quietly. "We live in a half torn down shed in the woods. My fathers always drunk and beats the shit out of me, so Liz and I don't even normally get that unless he's passed out. I work twenty four seven, normally sleeping with random people just so I can get a few meals in Liz a week. We don't even eat every day, even with that," he said bluntly. he sort of shook his head and moved to wander over to the window, sliding his hands in his packets as he stared out of it, not really looking at anything. "You really are serious about this then," he mused when she said they'd think of something else. He turned towards her then, leaning against the wall. "I don't have any way to thank you," he added. Then he reconsidered. "Unless I sleep with you. You seemed eager enough to get some pleasure out of our time together the night before," he added with a shrug. "You're paying for it anyway," he added with a chuckle. He did want to thank her....and as bad as ti seemed, that was really the only way he could think of to do it. He'd have to pick Liz up later....but that was fine.

Celeste Harlow - "Then the least I can do is help you two get a future." Celeste stated simply. She would not be killing this boy. Not anytime soon. She watched as Sage moved around the room, and she had to admit, he was quite attractive, but Celeste hadn't ever liked anyone and probably never would, and she definitely wasn't letting herself even consider a victim. "If you would like to sleep with me, whether for pleasure, distraction, desire or something else, you may, anytime you choose. But if you don't want to, you shall not sleep with me. I will not make you sleep with me, and I will not take it as a thank you. Its no fun and much less pleasureable when the other person doesn't want to be participating in the action." Celeste stated calmly, looking Sage dead in the eye. "As of now, I'd go home and collect your child and things. Your father shouldn't be home for a bit, and your boss is passed out for the night." Celeste said giving Sage a wicked grin. She had memorized Sages and his fathers routine, and he had slipped a little something into his bosses cup, so he would be out for a while. And as always, Celeste wouldn't be caught.

Sage sort of just moved to shrug when she said she was trying to give them a future. He did appreciate the fact, so he moved himself off the wall with a sigh and nod. "I'll get her," he noted. "I'll be back within an hour," he added. They didn't really have much to gather and bring.... actually, aside from a few outfits and such they didn't have anything. Though, when she explained when and why they'd might sleep together. "Not even if I want it as a thank you," he asked with a cocked head. It was odd....but not odd enough he didn't want to thank her somehow. Whatever. He moved to slide out of the room, and jog down the the place Liz stayed while he worked. He grabbed the baby and then hurried over to the shack their things were in, and then back up into the room.
