Sage sort of wrinkled his nose with an amused hum. "I dunno, I wouldn't want it to jostle or anything," he mused, really just messing around. He nodded in response to her thanks, humming softly as he thought. "Doubt it," he noted. "It was a pretty bad break, so you really shouldn't be walking on it, let alone bearing my weight on top of it," he sighed. He patter her thigh though. "Don't worry, I'll manage. I have for the rest of my life," he reassured her.

"I'll manage" she repeated, deepening her voiceto copy him. "I have forever and ever and ever" she teased. "but now you have me!" She giggled, taking a bite of her waffle. "What would you do without me?" She mumbled around the waffle, the food muffling her voice

Sage snorted when she tried to copy his voice, shaking his head in amusement since she was still quite a bit off. "I don't know," he mused softly, though winked his nose after that. "But I still won't let you help me if I think it'll hurt your ankle," he added

"Such a gentleman" Florida smiled, putting her hand on his arm. She took another bite of her waffle, finishing it and leaning her head against his shoulder

Sage chuckled softly and gave her a grin. "If we're both broken then that's not exactly helpful," he joked lightly, nudging her gently. He wrapped an arm around her waist when she leaned against him, happy to eat in silence. It was comfortable.

Flo grinned a little, humming happily when he put his arm around her. "Maybe not but that would mean I could talk your head off nonstop and you wouldn't be able to get away" She teased

Sage couldn't help but laugh at her comment and grin over at her. "Well, you do that anyway," he teased lightly. "But I don't mind," he added with a chuckle.

Flo giggled, closing her eyes and listening to his steady breathing.

Sage was happy to fall silent, and just relax with her there next to him

Florida woke up in the bed. Her ankle was aching, but she didn't feel like moving. It had been two weeks since she had injured herself, and it was doing better than before, but now it was painful. Flo sat up, glancing around beforing rubbing her eyes.
