"You want the truth?" He asked, the fear dancing in his eyes once more. "Fine, i'm fucking terrified." |

She nodded slightly, kissing him gently. "I am too." |

"It's just--" He paused, running his hand through his hair as he rested his elbows on his knees, worry etching his face. "What if everything goes wrong again? I mean---I know, and I know that the medics here can't mess up--but then again, can they?! What if they do, and everything goes wrong and we lose him due to something they did and everybody just ignored it and accepted that we're just supposed to move on from that as though we aren't already stressed enough and excited enough for him to eventually get here even if it's alot at first--" Gale paused for a moment, eyes wide as they unfocused, getting a breath before continuing rambling. "And then there's the risk that he does come happy and healthy but then what if when he gets older i'm a bad father to him and he hates me just as I hate my father? What if he thinks i've abandoned him when I get busy and pulled away from--from this, all of this!?" He gestured wildly between the two as he looked back at her, working himself up by the minute.
"And also what if i'm just....not, what he deserves?" The man asked, tone suddenly much softer, eyes flicking between hers. |

Tears were in her eyes as she listened to him. "Gale..." She breathed, cupping his face and placing a kiss on his lips. "It'll all work out, I promise you" |

Kayla's words are somewhat comforting as I collect myself again, not being able to resist when I laugh, dragging a hand down my face as I quickly wipe a tear away, still chuckling. "I work myself up too much, that's for sure." I murmured, leaning slightly into her touch. |

"No, it's all valid fears and worries, we'll just get through everything together. I sometimes sit and sob so much because of the pain and fear" |

I opened my mouth to say something, what she said clicking as my jaw dropped somewhat, meeting her gaze as concern etched my features. "I. . . didn't know you did that." I murmur, tearing my gaze from hers as I swallow everything else down. "Sorry." My voice is a lot smaller than I was expecting, barely above a whisper. |

"Please, if you ever want or need me when that happens please do come find me, I don't tend to stray too far from you." I explain, knowing it was 50/50 a lie and a truth. |
