Iris slammed the phone down on the table after he hung up and she held her head in her hands, trying to breathe. Instead she just managed to cry. |

Caden drank his worries away, the scotch loosening his hold on reality as he finished roughly half the bottle vision blurring before his head came down on his arms on the countertop, the man's grip falling from the bottle as he blacked out. |

Iris sobbed for a few minutes, emotions washing over her. Fear, anger, frustration, loneliness, depression, and many more that she couldn't even name. Finally she was able to control herself enough to breathe again. Soon after that the tears stopped. Face raw and eyes red, she stumbled out of the chair and collapsed onto the couch, where she sat and stared blankly into space, trying to get her thoughts together. |

Caden awoke a while later, head spinning as he got up, everything crashing back down on him. The call, the officer, the runaway, the second call--which to be honest, was more so an argument--the liquor, and... well, he couldn't remember. The man glanced out the window and saw it was roughly dawn, walking over to the medicine cabinet and grabbing his antidepressants, along with his anxiety medication before getting in his Corvette and driving over to the gym. |

(This is making me depressed lol. How was your capture day?) . Iris managed to drive back to her dorm at school and get a few hours of sleep. She felt nauseous again in the morning, though she didn't throw up. She made a cup of tea and stayed in her room for the whole morning. |

(real depressing, I was out the whole day and didn't have anytime to capture :( ) Caden didn't bring his Airpods or anything such as, loading up a bar with 200 pounds before grabbing some other things, starting the workout with nothing but his thoughts. |

(oh no I'm sorry!) At 1:00 Iris finally felt good enough to do some schoolwork. Kinley had brought her some of the assignments from the classes she'd missed, so she began working on those. |

"Что я наделал?" He muttered under his breath as he got back in his car, sitting there for a moment before grabbing his phone and texting Iris. im sorry. Was all it read, the words heavy as he kept constantly checking his phone as he drove back, slipping into the shower once he arrived. |

Iris had set her phone to silent, so she didn't read the message until she'd finished an hour of research for an essay. She picked up her phone to check the time and saw that Caden had texted her. Iris held a debate in her mind, deciding whether she should look at it or not. It could be the police on his phone, or him saying they were after him, or anything of worse meaning. Finally she gave in and read it. The simple two-word text was enough to make her have to swallow down more tears. She leaned back in her chair and tried to think of the best way to reply. She could say it wasn't his fault, but that would be a lie. She could say it was alright, but that would be lying too. What could she say?? After a few long minutes, she typed out an answer and sent it before she could change her mind. -me, too- |

-i shouldn't've gotten all tight (?) and stuff since you were just trying to help me not have the fine so high plus you know more about the legal system here than i do, im really sorry- Caden sent this around ten minutes after he'd gotten the text, having been in the shower the whole time before sitting on the edge of his bed as he bobbed his knee, begining to grow very anxious over everything. Speaking of, where had he put his meds? He needed those--wait, did he? What if he didn't? But they'd been prescribed so he most definately did, right? Had she texted back yet? No, though it was probably because he just sent the text---or was she just mad at him? That had to be the reason, right? What if it wasn't and he was just imagining all the blaming and th-- He blinked, snapping out of it. "Wow, okay." |
