"I can see that... But when did you get there? I've been in the park for a few hours and I'm pretty damn sure I'd of heard you climbing that tree..." He said and with a chuckle he held up his beer "Ain't that the truth my friend!" He chuckled "I'm Travis by the way." He said giving a smirk "So who are you...? Batman?" He teased with a chuckle.

Sage grinned over at the man, who seemed friendly despite Sage's crazy outward appearance. "The name's Sage." He winked. "I'm quiet," he chuckled. "Grew up outside."

"Nice to meet you Sage." He chuckled "I'm not exactly quiet but I grew up in the country... The city is weird to me... Even a small town like this is odd... We lived so far away from everything when I was in high school." He chuckled "The most public place I went to was school..." He admitted.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "I'm not much of a people person myself," he admitted. He swig upwards so he was sitting on the branch, looking down at Travis. "Living on the streets does that I guess." Then he grinned. "Though, I allways preferred the woods to the alleys." Edited at September 2, 2022 06:43 AM by NightClan

Travis smirked "I was made into a people person by my highschool sweetheart and now wife." He chuckled before giving a nod "Living on the streets or far away makes you antisocial... Not because you want to be but because you don't trust people... I think you become hyper aware of people maybe not enough to read their body language but you become hyper aware of certain things like when someone's following you for example." He shrugged giving a smirk "I do too..." He admitted "On this property I used to live on we were literally surrounded by nothing but wilderness..." He chuckled scaling the tree and hanging on a thick branch swinging from it a little as one foot rested against the trunk of the tree letting him sway back and forth "It was amazing... And the amount of animals I got to see on nearly a daily basis was incredible... But things changed after high school... I guess they generally do." He shrugged.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "The woods are great, but I've recently figured out that having a family is great too," he admitted. "Animals are amazing...living in the woods, you see so much that most people don't get to see." He shrugged. "My fiancee and I have a house that backs up to the woods, so I get the best of both worlds now."

Travis chuckled "Yeah I couldn't agree more... On all fronts." Travis chuckled before he smiled "Oh that's awesome congrats on the fiancee... I have a wife and a two year old at home..." He chuckled "And we're trying for a second baby too... Hailey my wife really wants a girl." He chuckled.

Sage chuckled. "We have a daughter, Charlie." He shook his head. "Just as bossy as her mother," he joked, figuring that Travis knew he was only playing around. "I'm not sure we'll go for a second. We talked about it, but that was before Max almost died in labor." He shrugged and leaned back against the tree trunk. "I don't know if I'm willing to risk that again."

Travis smiled "Oh Hailey is going to love that." he chuckled before giving a smirk "Ollie is a mama's boy for sure..." Travis chuckled happily his brows rising in concern "Oh Geez... I'm sorry that had to have been terrifying... I thought just watching Hailey go through it was bad... I couldn't imagine seeing her near death..." he admitted "I understand your fear but that doesn't mean it'll happen again." he pointed out "Even if you wind up wanting another I suggest you wait until Charle is 2 or 3 anyways..." he said before giving a small sigh before smiling "Hey I should go but lets get together again we dads gotta stick together right?" he smirked offering him his phone "Put your number in." he winked.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "I know, something weird happened that won't happen again, I just worry sometimes. We'll wait a bit before hand if we do try for another one, one is plenty to handle." He took the phone and put his number into it with a small smile. "If by sticking together you mean escaping a chaotic household to get a breather for an hour or so then yeah," he joked. He knew they both loved their families to death, so he could joke about that. When Travis had left, he wandered around for a bit until it started to get dark, then he did some hunting and went back home. He'd had fun, but he was ready to see Max and Charlie...though Charlie would probably be asleep by now, and Max too, possibly. She'd have to go back to work soon and he wanted all the time with her he could have.
