Mari grinned happily and went to peck his cheek. She was about to say more, but by then he was already drifting off to sleep. She smiled softly before settling down and pulling the blankets up to keep him settled. She went off to sleep a little while later, but she really was too excited to get a decent nights sleep. Sage would have a little project to do now, while she was working on his presents... oh, and she'd have to tell her mother about everything! She would be thrilled. Mari woke up early the next morning, again a little bit... sicky, but she trotted off to get some breakfast happily before returning to the room with a tray with stands, and some rolls and butter, along with a hot drink. She crawled onto the bed with a soft him, gently placing the tray on the boys lap as she kind of straddled his lap, and leaned over to peck his lips as a means to wake him up. "Morning," she whispered gently to the boy.

Sage slept rather well, though not as deeply as he had the night before. He dreamt a little bit, but they came in and out, and he didn't really remember much of what they were. His eyes fluttered open when Mari woke him, a sleepy grin forming on his face when he noticed the girl there. "Hey babe," he sort of mumbled, still obviously more than half asleep. He yawned slightly and passed a hand over his face to run his eyes and wake up a bit more. "You look like you've been up for a while," he noted with a bit of sleepy amusement. He could smell the food on the tray she held...and admittedly, it woke him up a bit more as he peered down at the food. It did look good...though, everything she made seemed to be delicious. That was just how she worked, he supposed....she was perfect, and everything she did was pretty much also perfect.

(Just a heads up, I'm not going to be on very much over the next few weeks as am on the circuit) Mari smiled down at him as he went to sit up, and picked another light kiss to his lips. "Hey," she replied quietly so that she didn't make him jerk awake too quickly. "I have been," she replied. "Since about 5," she then added with a bit of a hum. She handed him the trey with a bit of a chuckle. "And I made you some food," she added happily. It was about ten by then... and she had the rest of the day off as the other maids were covering the queen. So she could just relax for a little bit.

(No worries, have fun and good luck!) Sage hummed lightly and felt another sleepy grin form on his face when she kissed him again. "That's very early," he agreed with a chuckle before grinning at her when she said she'd made food. "Thanks babe," he chirped, leaning over to peck her on the lips happily. "I was thinking of sketching out some designs for the house today...you can help if you want," he hummed as an afterthought, picking up a roll to snack at happily. It was delicious as always...and he was glad to have her here with him for a bit. He wasn't sure if she was off tomorrow or not ....though he still had to work so he supposed it didn't really matter, though they'd get more time if she was off. Either way, he supposed she'd make what time they had good.

Mari smiled softly to him before flopping down next to him. "Couldn't sleep anyway," she mused lightly, her face lighting up when he kissed her. She was happy to have him around... she wasn't sure what he would be doing today, but he had to go do evening yard at least. "You're very welcome," she chirped happily to him. She nodded happily to him, her eyes bright when he mentioned the house... their house. Their families home. "I'd love to help... at least with the outdoor stuff. You know I'm not very creative otherwise," she mused to the boy with a bit of a a laugh.

Sage chuckled at the girl's enthusiasm and nodded, grinning over at her when she flipped down next to him. He nibbled on some more of the rolls and then chuckled at her comments. "I'll sketch up my ideas and then we can edit together," he chirped happily. "You wanna grab me a pen and paper and some colored pencils," he asked. "I'll finish eating while you do that and then we can get that done, or at least started before I have to go work," he mused happily. He was really, really excited about decorating. He liked being artsy and whatnot anyway, but this was their house ...he wanted it to be perfect. He'd been brainstorming what he wanted and what Mari would like ever since he saw the house.

Mari smiled and nodded in agreement to the boy. "Of course!" She giggled happily before grabbing a piece of paper and a pencil. She brought it back to him happily, gently taking the now empty tray from him and putting it aside, then replaced it with the paper and a small board to lean on. "I really, really want a herb garden- I mean, if you get to breed horses, I should get too grow herbs," she chuckled lightly to him. She knew this wasn't anything to do with decorating, exactly, but she could throw it in there as she so pleased. "And I'd like to decorate Silas's room more than anything... something fun, we can change it when he's old enough to decide what he wants. I don't know what, though," she mused lightly to the boy.

Sage smiled over at the girl happily and nodded, and worked on eating his breakfast before scooting over slightly so Mari had room to sit down next to him, on his left side, where he could draw with his right hand and not elbow her or something. He nodded with a chuckle at her comments and hummed lightly. "There's plenty of land....I'd say something for gardens in the front lawn, so it's easier to pick stuff to use for meals," he mused, drawing the front of the house out in a kind of quick sketch, and then adding a decent sized garden next to the patio and under the kitchen window. He added a nice looking fence around the patio, with a gate that opened from the patio so she wouldn't have to walk far to pick herbs or anything. Once he'd finished that, he started with colors....the patio was concrete, but he wanted to stamp it and fix it up, so he drew that in. He added a sort of a wooden balcony over the pation for shade...he could build that easily enough, and he could match the roof of that to the current roof of the house. He made the fence the same color as the wood he'd use for the patio, and then made the shutters and other accents of the front of the house the same light bomboo-ish color. It went well with the white paint of the actual house, he thought. Then he added some small trees and bushes and some other landscaping around the front yard. None of it would be out of their budget, and the picture made it look like it cost much more than they'd have spent on it...he really liked it, but did mari? He handed her the picture with a cocked head, sort of asking for her opinion on it all, eyes glittering happily.

Mari watched him work curiously, though her eyes were bright and excitable. She was so excited for all this... their life. This new house, absolutely everything. She cocked her head at him when he gave her the drawing, eyes glancing over the paper. "It looks wonderful," she chirped happily. "Only, I'd rather a wooden flooring on the patio... perhaps you could use the slabs for a wash base at the yard," she suggested with a bit of a hum. "Which, I was hoping you'd put some new fencing up and at least paint so it at least looks nice from a distance?" She asked with a bit of a grin.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded in response to her comments, taking the paper back and changing the sketch up a bit so the patio was wooden. He then made the wash basin up all nice looking sort of next to the garden and then designed a fire pit out of any left over concrete. "We can have a small one to put on the patio or something if you'd like," he mused lightly. "And a bigger one for the back, if you wanted." He shrugged slightly, humming thoughtfully before finishing the sketch. "I'll touch everything up," he promised with a chuckle. "dont worry." Hopefully, they'd be living there for a long time ...so they could spend a bit of money to make it nice. Did they need to repaint everything? No. But it would be nice. "Is that good," he asked lightly. If it was, they could move on to the kitchen...he was excited about that. He had some nice things in mind for it. That and the living room, and their bedroom too, actually. Edited at June 20, 2023 02:35 PM by NightClan
