Mari chuckled at him before rolling her eyes. "I hate it as much as you do," she mused lightly. She'd tried to keep herself asleep when she woke up, but in all honesty, she couldn't seem to stop fidgeting. Maybe this baby was what was keeping her up... it was moving around a lot now, so probably. She smiled softly to him after a moment or two moving to rest her head on his shoulder. "Maybe. Maybe it's a bit of your luck too," she teased him before pecking his cheek. "I do hope it happens for you... this foal," she hummed gently to him.

Sage chuckled lightly and wrapped his arm around her when she went to rest her head on his shoulder. He hummed happily and nodded. "Oh, I know. Even I can figure out not to talk to you until you've had your morning coffee," he chuckled, really just teasing her about her crabiness when she first dragged herself out of bed evry morning. He chuckled lightly and hummed in thought before shrugging. "Well, we'll get one sooner or later," he pointed out happily. But it would be nice for the first foal to come from Snowball...she was the first mare they'd bought, and the start of this whole thing. And he was excited about it all. He'd considered buying Mystery at some point, too, but she would be much too expensive for them right now.

Mari hummed gently when he wrapped his arm around her, welcoming the warmth happily. She then pouted at him with furrowed brows. "Really? Am I that bad?" She asked with a small huff of air. "Well, its your fault, you got me pregnant," she teased gently to him before shaking her head. "When were we planning on going to the doctors ward? I want to be ready this time," she mused gently. "Last time I'd forgotten all kinds of things... I'm gonna want pillows and food on hand," the girl teased him lightly. She smiled when he mentioned possibly having a foal on the yard in the next year. She knew he would be so thrilled. He seemed to excited about all of this, and really she was excited for him... if it all went well, then they'd have a more than stable home for their children to grow up in.

Sage chuckled lightly and reached over to peck her cheek. "You need your coffee in the morning," he chuckled lightly. He really didn't mind...she'd never yelled or anything like that, she was just grumpy. Then he shrugged lightly and grinned over at her. "You asked for it," he protested with a laugh, patting Amber as she crawled up and into his lap now that she'd noticed him sitting down. Then he grunted and nodded. "I was thinking we could go down this afternoon, so we're there with plenty of time to spare," he told her. "I don't want to have to drive to the castle with you in labor if it decides to come a week early or so," he pointed out, pursing his lips as he thought out loud.

Mari couldn't help her silly little grin when he pecked her cheek, though she wasn't sure why. She was just happy, she supposed. "I really do," she hummed in an amused tone. She then shrugged happily with an amused laugh at his comment. "Yeah but you sealed the deal. Was your fault, and that's the end of it," she teased the boy lightly before shaking her at the thought. They'd both decided they were ready for another child, and she was more than glad that was what they'd decided. She cocked her head at his suggestion and gave a small smile. "Yeah, tonight's good," she agreed softly. "I want dinner here first, though. None of that castle shit," she teased him lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "Yeah, but you started it," he giggled lightly. Then he nodded in agreement with her. "That's fine," he agreed. "Dinner and then pack and head out," he mused happily. He didn't mind that, not at all, he just didn't want her to go into labor and them not be ready and at the ward already. (Short i gotta run lol)

Mari smiled softly at his comment. She had started it... and kinda always did. The rest of the day was pretty relaxed. Sage sorted his horses out, and she went to get dinner on... she hadn't been cooking much recently, mainly because she couldn't physically make herself do it... but oh well. She was happy do it now. Besides, she couldn't make herself eat another one of Sages meals. They weren't bad, but she was used to her own food, which was a hit more filling. Plus, it meant that she could cook whatever she was craving as of then. She called him in for dinner, and they ate before packing for not only themselves but also for Silas and the new baby... Silas would be going to stay with her mother for the next week, because she didn't want him staying in the ward with people that were ill. Soon e jough, though, they were on their way... Silas was waddling around now, kind of walking in a stumpy kinda way. It was sweet, and her mother thought so too. They soon enough got to the castle though... and although she was very reluctant to go in, Sage had pretty much forced her in, so she was quickly enough sat on a special tool within the ward, with actual walls rather than a curtain.

Sage had been more than happy to finish at the barn and make sure the horses would be settled for the week...Anthony had volunteered to feed and water them, and give them some exercise, so he gladly accepted the help. No doubt both of them would rather he stay with Mari the whole day I stead of running back and forth between the ward and the house. He would miss Silas, he knew that, but having a baby there while his mother gave birth probably wouldn't be good for anyone, so he was fine with it. Besides, Edith and the rest of them loved Silas just as much as he and Anya did. Once they got to the ward and greeted the doctor, he fussed about to make sure Mari was settled and comfortable and that the room was safe and comfortable. They'd brought pillows and blankets from home, to sleep in...it had been Maris idea and he was definitely glad for it...so hopefully it would seem nice to hear too. Eventually though, she was rather fed up with his fussing, he figured, so he went to flop down on the bed the doctor had wheeled in for them with a sigh.

Mari let the boy fuss about her for a little bit... admittedly, it was rather nice. She liked the fact that he cared so much, but soon enough it had gotten just a little bit too much for her. "Sage, babe, I'm fine," she promised with a bit of a chuckle before leaning back against the big chair cushion behind her. She couldn't really be any comfier.... she was sat in the perfect spot, not too hot and certainly not too cold. She looked over to Sage after she'd settled down, kinda exhausted from the drive and walk up the stairs, with a small sigh. "Sage," she started quietly with furrowed brows. "I'm... kinda scared," the girl started with a nervous chuckle. She'd been fine this whole time... but for whatever reason, it just seemed that she kind of had a wake up call now that they were actually in the doctors ward.

Sage had closed his eyes for a moment, though opened them to look over at the girl when she spoke up again. He cocked his head curiously at her comments and then sat up with a grunt. "I can't say I'm not either," he admitted, running a hand through his hair with a sigh. "But...I do trust the doctor," he added. "And it's already going better than last time, so..." he trailed off with a shrug at that. He was doing an awful job at comforting his wife, which made him feel pretty bad, and sort of useless, but he was terrified too. Memories of her almost dying kept popping up in his head, and just awful what - ifs. And they all definitely scared him.
