Mari nodded when he confirmed that he wouldn't get angry or mad or... anything if that happened. She knew if it were to go wrong, that he may not be able to help but be angry, but for now she trusted that wouldn't happen. This had been a pretty... easy pregnancy, compared to Silas, so she was hopeful it would be an easy birth, too. She looked over at him when he made his request, and kind of gave a nod before forcing herself out of bed, a kind of groan of complaint at the movement escaping her before crawling into the bed that Sage was in, cuddling in the best she could while she was like this and resting her head on his chest. She could be brave, for now... or, that's what she had to tell herself. She could be as brave as she had to be from here on out. She felt awful for worrying Sage, and she just felt... well, awful no matter the case, but she was happy to be close to him, just the same way as she always was. He was a comfort, and she did trust him... he'd look after her the best he could in the short time they would be in the ward.

Sage have the girl a smile when she came to rest next to him. He wrapped his arms around her happily, alibet a bit sleepily, and mumbled something about waking him if she needed him before pretty much passing out midway through his sentence. He supposed he'd been more tired than he'd realized, since he'd been working and stuff before. They were both nervous, he knew, but he needed rest if he was going to keep this up. No, that wasn't right....he'd have to keep it up and add to it, since Mari would be out of commission for a while and a new baby would be in the house.

Mari could only nod at what the boy said, mainly because he'd finished talking soon enough. She watched him rest for a while... he seemed so quiet, so peaceful. He still lost years when he slept, when all the worry and pain slipped from his consciousness. She pressed a gentle kiss to his chin before curling up next to him and forcing herself to rest. She was so, so exhausted... there was so much going through her head, too, but it was nice just to relax for a little while. She didn't have to worry about anything going wrong while they were in the ward, anyway... so that was a nice thought. But she was eventually in a pretty deep sleep... no dreams or thoughts or... anything, really. It was actually kind of a nice change.

Sage was more than happy to fall asleep and just rest for a while. He was really just very tired. He'd been sick, and then thrown into work right away. He didn't mind hard work, of course, but he did need his rest. But curling up with Mari was definitely nice, and restful for both of them really. Even if she didn't sleep, he knew curling up with her would relax her a little bit, which would definitely be good for her, and probably for the baby too if he was being honest. He didn't know much about that kind of thing ....but it was in her wasn't it? If she was stressed then surely it would be stressed too.

Mari rested peacefully, her arms resting on Sages torso as she let her head lul on his chest. She was peaceful, for once. It was nice, truely, and she couldn't help but fall into a deep sleep. She woke up early, as usual, the next morning, her stomach aching as she felt the baby move about... she recalled feeling this way the day before Silas had arrived, so it could potentially happen tomorrow... hell, even this evening. She still had a few days left until her due date, but in all truth it was super accurate.

Sage slept well pretty much all night long. Though, he woke up when Mari stirred early in the morning, as had been the usual. He didn't have to get up and do anything though, so he simply groaned and curled up into her a bit more in order to try and go back to sleep....he was still really tired. Better than the night before, of course, but still tired. Part of that was just waking up, but it was early, and he knew the baby could pop out any time so he wanted to be well rested. He'd have to be, if he wanted to take care of the family.

Mari gave a soft groan when the boy went to curl around her a bit more. "Good morning," she whispered to the boy after a few moments. There was pretty much no room on the bed, so she was kind of on top of him... but not in a way putting any pressure on him, not on purpose. She didn't want to move... not that she'd really be allowed to, anyway. After a few moments, though, she did move to crawl out of his grip and back into the empty bed next to it, figuring he might want a bit of space to like... breathe.

Sage hummed a sort of intelligible good morning to her, more than happy to just stay curled up with her. He let out a groan when she pulled away, though the bed still had her body warmth on it so it was pretty much the same temperature but he could stretch out a little bit. It was sort of nice, but of course he didn't mind her being there. They could use a bigger bed though, as large as her belly was by now. Eventually though, he rolled over onto his stomach with a sigh and actually opened his eyes. "Sleep well," he asked with a yawn.

Maki looked over at him, laying on her side as curled up as she could be as she looked over at him with a sleepy expression across her face. "Yeah... well enough," she murmured softly. "What about you? Feel good to be back in your ward?" She asked with a reading chuckle after a few moments before sighing quietly. The doctor was to make it rounds soon, she was sure... so in all truth it would be nice to have breakfast in bed for once. To just trust that that were both in good hands.

Sage hummed and nodded in response to her comment and then chuckled slightly. "I suppose so," he hummed happily, a faint smile forming on his face. "I do miss it sometimes," he said with a yawn. "But our bed is definitely better," he added with a slight giggle of sorts. He sort of stretched and then then settled down again, just waiting for breakfast at that point. Their timing was pretty good, since the doctor poked his head into the room around five minutes later, offering them both plates of stuff to eat for breakfast. It was a wide variety of small bits of things.... probably because he knew they both liked that sort of thing, and also because he probably wasn't sure what exactly Mari liked.
