Mari smiled into his touch, the gentle touch absolutely calming. She was feeling... good. Surprisingly good, actually. She felt better than she had the last time... well, things hadn't gone wrong this time. She hadn't lost so much blood, nothing had broken, and she was actually alright. Sore, but not awful... but again, maybe it was because last time had been so bad. She hummed in response to question. "Empty," she hufffed gently to him as she let out a breath. "But... alright," she murmured gently. She looked at him with an exhausted but soft gaze. "Did everything go ok?" She asked with a small huff of air.

Sage chuckled slightly and nodded. "I'll bet you feel empty,* he noted with amusement. Then he nodded happily when she said she felt alright. "good," he cooed. Then he nodded in response to her question and smiled over at her. "The baby's fine," he told her. "The doctor has her right now. I wanted to wait for you to wake up before we meet her," he said happily. He was excited...very excited...to meet his new child. But he did want her to be alright. At the sound of their voices, the doctor slid into the room quietly, the baby wrapped up in his arms. He handed her to Mari with a grin and patted her shoulder before heading out again, no doubt to give them a bit of privacy.

The girls face relaxed a little bit when he said everything had gone alright... she was glad. And she was so excited to meet her daughter... so, so thrilled. She smiled gently to the boy and sat up, resting her head in between his chin and shoulders... it was a bit surprising she even managed to do that, to be honest... again much better than it had all been before. "Good," she murmured gently when the boy confirmed that everything was fine. She heard the door go, though, and her eyes lit up as she looked at the doctor, trying to peep at the bundle of blankets but as she was placed in her arms. She smiled and thanked the doctor as he left, cradling the baby in her arms as she leaned back against Sage. "Oh, she's gorgeous," she murmured softly as she gently stroked the child's cheek.

Sage felt his own shoulders relax a bit when she relaxed and moved to lean against him. Good....that meant she was alright. It definitely seemed like she was much better off than the last time they'd gone through this whole process. His face lit up when the doctor brought the baby in, and peered over Maris shoulder, just...staring. she was absolutely perfect...just what he'd imagined it would be like, maybe even better because now she was actually here and it wasn't just a hope. "She's perfect," he whispered, tears threatening to form in his eyes and fall. But they were happy tears, of course....he wasn't anything but happy. And relieved too, he supposed, that everything and gone so well. (You can decided what she looks like lol)

Mari stared down at the girl after little while, her eyes wide as she looked over her. She was perfect... she was looking around the place with the biggest eyes, so bright and curious about... everything. They were blue, like Silas's were, only rather than a brown middle they were a dark looking green, similar to the way hers were. "Isn't she just," she agreed, gently tracing the length of her little button nose... oh, she really was perfect. She looked back at Sage, just to see his eyes glazed over as he looked at the child. She studied him for a moment, every little detail of his face, and she couldn't really be more in love with him than she was right then. They'd managed to make the most gorgeous little baby, the two of them... and that was then alone. She leaned back to lock lips with him for a few moments, then pulled away again to gawk at the little girl, who was resting so peacefully in her arms.

Sage was sort of just staring at the little one, barely hearing Maris last comment. He was fighting away tears....he wanted to see his baby, not a blurry blob of something that looked like a mini human. He was drinking in each little creature of her face....the small tuft of black hair, the big blue eyes...all of it. He was rather surprised when Mari kissed him, though he kissed her back happily, more than glad to have her as the little ones mother. "She'll have your eyes," he hummed after a moment. He was more than happy about it too. Because while he wanted to name her Lizzie, if she'd looked exactly like Lizzie had, it might have been slightly odd. Unnerving maybe. But, she was perfect...and Maris eyes were absolutely beautiful, so he was glad that this one looked a bit more like her. Silas looked mostly like him...this little one had some more of her features.

Mari looked down at the little girl, the most stupid smile across her face. She was so thrilled to have her... such a pretty little thing, and she'd waited so long to finally have her in her arms. She leaned heavily onto Sage in those moments, her head against his shoulders as she looked over her daughter. She almost struggled to look away from her. But she did manage, for a brief moment as she watched her husband battle his tears. She understood how he felt... they finally had their complete little family. And man, was it a gorgeous family they had. But she also knew it might hit Sage a little bit harder. He never thought he'd have a family like this. She remembered him saying his lines would end with him... but she glad it hadn't. She was glad that out of everyone in the world, he got to be the father of her children. She looked back at the child's eyes after a moment, then back to Sage. "You think?" She asked softly, going back to stroking the baby's head. "I hope so," she then added with a small hum. They wouldn't be as green as hers, she knew that, but it was nice that this one resembled her a little bit more. Well, so far, anyway. "You want to hold her?" She asked with a soft smile.

Sage hummed happily and nodded when she asked if the baby had her eyes. "She looks a lot like you, actually," he msued lightly, not taking his eyes away from the baby, who was looking up at them with big eyes. The little one would have her eyes, and face he thought...and obviously her beauty. But her jawline seemed sharper than Mari's, which was where he came in, and her skin tone was a mix between there's it seemed like. Of course, some of this would change, but as of right then, she seemed to be a good mix of them. But he was pleased to have herresemble the woman he loved so much. He nodded eagerly when she asked if he wanted to hold her, and really couldn't hold back his tears anymore after the tiny bundle was placed in his arms. He sort of just buried his wet face in mari's shoulder, a noise that was sort of both a sob and a laugh coming from his throat. "Gosh, I'm a mess," he half laughed, not really sure why he was crying. He knew it was probably relief, and of course happiness...but even so it felt a little bit stupid.

Mari couldn't help the stupid grin on her face when the boy confirmed that the child did look a bit like her. She loved Silas to hell and back, but he was definitely more Sage. It was nice to hear she had a child that resembled her. For now, at least. She carefully handed the child to Sage, a huge smile on her face as she watched her her husband take the tiny newborn. She looked even smaller in his arms... but she was a little caught off guard when she felt his tears roll onto her neck, shortly followed by his laugh sob type thing. She looked over at him worriedly for a moment, then a small laugh escaped her as she reached to kind rest her hand against his neck, her chin resting in his head. "Awh, babe," she mused lightly before moving to wipe his tears with her thumb. "You are a little bit of mess, yeah," she chuckled as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders again in a kind of comforting way, again pressing a light kiss to his cheek.

Sage sort of just held the little girl close as he curled up into Mari. Normally he would be furiously wiping away his tears, but Mari was sort of doing that for him. He let out a shaky chuckle at her comments, but soon enough settled down again, face drying off as they sat/lay there. Soon enough, the baby started to whine though, so he handed her back to Mari, figuring she was getting hungry. "Bottle or boob," he asked with a chirp, finding the whole thing kinda funny. But if she wanted a bottle, he'd grab one for her to feed the little one with. "You think you'll be alright to go home in a day or two," he asked then. She seemed ok, and he wanted to get home and get back to his other baby....though he wasn't such a baby anymore.
