Sage chuckled lightly at Maris comment, sliding into his seat obediently. "You don't have to say that twice," he mused lightly, still admittedly a little bit sleepy. But the food was yummy, and it was nice to eat dinner with the kids. Mari too, obviously, but he had one kid sat on either side, which was nice. Soon enough though, he was finished and he was exhausted, so he kissed the kids on the head and said goodnight before wandering up to shower.

Mari ate happily before waving her husband off. She waited for Silas to finish his food before having him help wash up. She put little Liz to bed, then made sure that Silas was showered and in bed before going upstairs to get herself washed. She slipped on one of Sages shirts and sort of wore it as a night gown before slipping into bed and curling into his back happily.

Sage had showered rather quickly, since he was tired and wanted to go back to sleep. He'd curled up under the blankets happily soon enough, and drifted off, though when Mari slipped in behind him, he moved to snuggle up into her a bit more before settling down again with a soft huff of air and drifting back off to sleep. He was definitely happy with how the day had gone...they had their first foal, and both he and Snowball were healthy. And he and Mari and the kids all seemed happy and content, and he was just very thankful for it all.

(Sorry, I haven't been on much! Been so busy it's unbelievable lol) Mari smiled lightly when she felt the boy back into her, so she smiled and wrapped her arms around him tightly, then wrapped her arms tightly around his waist. She was definitely happy... comfortable. Sage seemed to be getting better, and finding this whole one eyed thing easier... and the kids didn't care. Well, Liz wouldn't know any different, but she was happy. Silas didn't care. He still had his dad, and he wasn't too... traumatised by the whole thing. He was still happy and giggly, although he did need to sleep with the light on now... but that was a small sacrifice.

(it's all good, it's been the same with me lol) Sage was more than happy to settle down and drift off, curled up with Mari. Though, when morning came, and he woke up around ten o'clock, he woke up excited about the new foal. Mari was still asleep, and he wanted to do something for her, so he slipped out of bed and padded down to the kitchen, hoping to make breakfast for her. He sort of mixed up some muffin batter and put it in the oven, and then plopped down in a chair exhausted. The kitchen was a mess, since baking with one good eye was surprisingly difficult and his hands were shaky towards the end, but he didn't have the energy to clean up. He ended up falling asleep while sitting in the chair, spoon still in hand.

Mari slept peacefully through the night, and even got to sleep in for once... she never had to be up super early, but she was normally the first up, and she knew Sage liked to sleep in quite a bit. So, when she woke up and turned to curl into him and found he wasn't there, she sort of groaned and sat up tiredly to look blairly around the room. She sighed and wrapped a robe around herself before padding down the stairs, to the smell of... burning? She woke up a bit and picked up her pace down the stairs, jogging into the kitchen to pull the now charred cakes out the oven before turning it off quickly. She grabbed a towel and wafted it about to get rid of some of the smoke once she'd opened all the windows. She let out a heavy breath before looking over to Sage with a small chuckle. She wandered over before gently patting his cheek and taking the spoon from him. "Sage, baby, wake up," she mused gently to the boy before pecking his forehead.

Sage had sort of groaned when Mari woke him but raised his head to blink up at her blearily with a sort of confused, and very sleepy, hum, admittedly a bit confused as to why she was waking him up. Then his brain caught up a bit and he glanced over at the now very crispy muffins and wrinkling his nose slightly. "There's more batter in the bowl," he sighed in a sort of defeated tone, dropping his head to rest his chin on his forarms, rather annoyed with himself for screwing that up. He'd never burnt anything...food was precious on the street, and if he burned something in the tavern, that would be the end of him. Or something close to that. But at this point, maybe Mari should put the muffins in the oven so they'd actually have a breakfast that wasn't messed up. He felt pretty guilty about it....he'd tried to help her out, but he'd really only just made more work. The kitchen was a mess, and now there was a batch of burnt food everywhere too. He probably should have just stayed in bed.

Mari smiled softly to him after a little bit and pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head when he rested it on the table. She grabbed the bowl and went to clean the tray up before putting the mix in cupcake cups. "What were you trying to do?" She asked with a bit of a laugh as she started to clear everything up for him. It was a bit amusing, to be honest... especially since it was the first thing she saw that morning. Soon enough, though, the kitchen was all clean and everything was sorted out, just as the muffins were ready too. She pulled them out to let them cook before calling Silas down to the kitchen.

Sage hummed lightly when she kissed him and then grunted in response to her comment. "Make breakfast and be useful for once," he grumbled, still rather upset that he couldn't even manage to do that. And then make more work for Mari on top of it all. She didn't seem upset or annoyed at least....which was good, because he already blamed himself for everything, and he probably would've felt worse if she'd been annoyed to do the work this early. His spirits improved a little bit once he smelled the muffins as Mari took them out of the oven and Silas crawled into his lap. He still didn't feel great....maybe it would just wind up being a bad day... But the boy and yummy spell did lift his spirits a bit.

The girl rolled her eyes a little at him, and sort of shook her head before giving him a happy hum. "Well, you made the cake mix so you were sorta helpful," she told him with a bit of a laugh. "And don't they smell good?" She chirped as she put one on a plate for Silas, along with some finger sandwiches since this was sort of a brunch by now, then did the same for Sage. She took the plates over and placed them infront of him with a small hum before going to fix one up for herself.
