The girl rolled her eyes slightly at him after a moment or two, then sort of shook her head. "Yes, you do," she murmured softly. "You have all the time in the world. Now, just let me look after you a little," she pleaded gently, sort of shifting to lift the back of his shirt where she already knew he was hurting. She breathed out a murmur, then stood up to grab some cotton pads and rubbing alcohol, along with a few more dry wipes. "You're lucky these aren't too deep," she told him softly before sitting down just behind him. She sort of went to clean them up, then put some gel they kept in the cupboards in the keep them sealed, then did the same on his torso, though they were a little bit worse. Once she was done, she gave a him a warm smile. "See? Not so bad," she murmured gently to him, though her expression slowly changed to more of a concerned one. "How'd you you get them?" She asked softly.

Sage snorted in response to her first comment, then sighed when she insisted on getting up and going to grab....whatever she was grabbing. But if it made her feel better, he could let her do something as long as she wasn't hurting at all. So he just sat there tiredly, since he didn't have the energy to follow her now that he was sat down. He sort of grunted in a sort of agreement with her next comment, doing his best to sit still and let her clean him off. He was cold though, so he was shifting around a little bit. It stung a bit at first too, probably because things were slightly infected just from him not paying much attention to them. It did feel better once the sting faded though, and soon enough he was allowed to put his shirt back on and curl up again where it was warmer. He hummed slightly with a shrug in response to her last comment. "Running into things, the tavern, carelessness....some I have no idea how I got," he mused, listing off a few things he probably got them from. Mostly, though, they were from the tavern....he didn't have the heart to tell her that though.

Mari fiddled a little bit as he shifted around, though once done she grabbed the blanket from the top of the couch and sort of wrapped him up in it before pushing him down. "You need to look after yourself better, then," she told him softly. "I won't have a careless husband running into things," she mused to him softly before pecking his cheek softly. "Get some rest then get going, okay?" She asked him quietly. She hoped he was at least telling her the truth... he knew she didn't like it when he lied to her, and she couldn't exactly help him if he didn't tell her the truth.

Sage couldn't help th surprised squeak that come from his mouth when she wrapped him up in the blanket and shoved him down again, though it got a laugh out of him too. He hummed as if in thought for a moment before shrugging. "I can afford to do things a bit slower now that you're back," he pointed out. "I'm sure I'll run into less things," he noted with a chuckle. At her next comment, he was suddenly definitely ready for a nap, so he sort of just nodded with a slight yawn before sliding deeper into the blanket, which was by now warmed up from their body heat, and drifted off admittedly pretty quickly. He had missed this, he supposed....and he'd gotten up early again. So if he could afford to take a nap before going and telling everyone Mari was alright, he was going to.

Mari gave him a light hum before kind of wrapping her arms around him and resting her head on his chest with a heavy sigh. "No more running around, we're getting too old for all of this shit," she huffed to the boy after a moment or two. After a moment or so she let out a really heavy breath to him, closing her eyes and starting to get comfortable... or as comfortable as she could be curled up untop of him.

Sage sort of let out a hum in response to the girls comment, though he was mostly asleep so all he registered was her voice, and had made some attempt at a response. He fell asleep soon enough though, warm for what seemed like the first time in ages. He supposed the couple of months she'd been gone had seemed like an awfully long time. It was an awfully long time. He was just so, so glad it wasn't the rest of his life he'd have to keep moving on and going about without her. It wasnt as long as some people, probably, but he would have been plenty long enough. As in much too long. But she was back, and he didn't want to focus on what would have happened. His brain kept going back to those bad thoughts .. or bad thoughts about their current situation. He did feel bad about everything...and he felt like he could have done more. But he really had done everything he could. But he should have done more. It was a vicious circle ...and it would take time to recouperate his mind again. But Mari was patient, and the kids and horses helped. And he had some time to draw now too, if he needed...even if it was an order, it was something.

Mari eventually drifted off, comfortable where she was for the first time in a long while... she loved being here, close to him... it seemed like so long since she'd last been in this position. Where she was truly safe and really cared for. She'd missed it. She'd missed Sage. His warm scent, is comforting touch or even just the sound of his voice... it seemed like ages ago since she'd last heard it. It was, she supposed. She was just glad to be back. And to see the kids. She rested for now, though, Sages warm breaths swirling around her in a comforting manner as she continued to let her sleep deepen.

Sage stayed asleep for a while, though soon enough he woke to Silas tugging at his shirt, begging him for a snack. So, he sighed and slipped out from where he was nestled underneath Mari, tucking the blanket back around her gently and grabbing another one for himself before moving to go scoop the boy up and get him settled in the chair. He settled on an orange, since it wasn't the usual apple...he peeled it and handed it to him, and he started to eat happily. He flopped down in a chair with a sort of grunt after that. He'd wait until Mari was up to go tell her family she was home ....he doubted she'd be too happy if he went now and they all came and woke her up.

Mari smiled softly to the boy after a moment or two, groaning herself awake before sort of rolling out of the couch and waddling towards the boy quietly, grabbing a banana and sitting on the side of the table quietly. When the child saw her, she sort of grinned and opened her arms for him, and in response he jumped up onto her lap with a happy sounding giggle.

Sage grinned over at Mari when she wandered into the kitchen a little while later, and watched the boy jump into her, making sure he wouldn't accidentally hurt her before standing with a sort of huff of air. "Ill go get the rest of the family now that you're up," he hummed lightly, pecking her head as he walked past. "You're all good?" He just wanted to make sure....he didn't want something to happen while he was gone, even if it was just her feeling alone or.... anything, really.
