Sage chuckled slightly with a sort of nod, completely agreeing with Mari in this instance. He couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation, really. It was rather amusing, he thought, that here he was picking two jobs that required him to deal with people, when he really just was not a people person in the slightest. "You're prettier anyway," he hummed with a chuckle, pecking her cheek and turning the water off, turning around and hopping up to perch on the counter, facing her.

The girl grinned up at him after a moment or two, and sort of shook her head. "I'm far prettier," she teased him, sort of turning her head to look up at him, placing her hands lightly on his knees as she leaned up to press a light kiss to his cheeks. "If you want anyone to buy anything off you, then it's best that you're not death staring them. And you struggle not to do that with me, never mind some stranger," she chuckled lightly... regardless, she didn't think he would struggle to sell anything once he'd gotten a handful of orders... they just needed to get to that point.

He sort of just chuckled lightly at her tease, leaning in closer so she didn't have to reach quite so far to kiss his cheek. "It would be best not to glare at new customers," he admitted with a laugh. "However, apparently I glare even when I'm not even mad, so that might not work out so well," he noted with slight amusement. Really, if he had to act nice, he could do it....he didn't particularly enjoy it, but if that was how they were making money for a while, hed manage. He'd do anything to support his fa.iky and keep them going on and happy in their little cottage. He did hope they could get it going soon though. "I'll set up some of the back patio today," he mused in sort of thought. (If you want to skip a bit ahead to where theyre both mostly better or whatever and things have ramped up a bit that's fine with me btw)

Mari gave him a small chuckle and nodded in agreement. "You glare at me sometimes," she mused lightly. He didn't, much, but it was enough to joke about all the same. "It's also not best to glare at any of your customers, especially when you don't have any yet," she chuckled after a bit, tilting her head to press another kiss to his lips. "I'll help you out then. Or maybe I'll just head out today," she hummed quietly, (will do that in a bit! Also, sorry this one is super short.)

(okie dokie! No worries lol) He chuckled light and huffed out a breath. "Not on purpose," he noted with amusement, catching her lips happily and humming lightly in response. "Unless you're antagonizing me about something. Then I might scowl at life," he noted with a slight chuckle. He nodded when she said she'd go out today, and hummed again. "just be careful, hmm," he hummed. "Don't hurt yourself," he added, admittedly a bit worried about it all. He trusted her though, so all he did was caution her and then peck her on the lips again, because she was there so why not.

The girl stuck her lower lip out at him a little before shaking her head. "I don't ever deserve to be glared at," she huffed to him in a slightly more teasing tone. "I'm your loving, caring, gorgeous wife, I don't deserve any of this torture," she exclaimed, pecking his lips happily before patting his knees softly and going to squeeze the top of his leg in a comforting manner. "When have I ever not been careful?" She asked with a small laugh before shaking her head softly to him. "No, don't answer that one. But I'll be careful, promise," she chirped to him softly after a moment or two. She grinned at his little kiss before going to put a coat on. "I'll grab some groceries while I'm out... we may not have much money but we really can't be stariving ourselves. May pass by the doctor too... oh, and can I have a little drawing that I could show off to people while I'm out?" She asked him happily.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comments and bobbed his head up and down in agreement. "Of course you are," he chirped. "Next time I get crabby I'll just shut you up with a kiss, hm," he teased gently. He never really got mad or upset with her...that was mostly getting upset with himself. But even then he didn't act angry towards her....but he could still joke. He raised an eyebrow at her question, then chuckled lightly at the rest of her comments, nodding and shrugging in response to the other questions. "There's a stack of em in the drawer in the living room...take what you want," he mused lightly. He'd taken to just shoving them all in there....paintings, drawing, everything else. There were nightmares and everything too ....which had definitely been awful while he'd thought she was dead, but hopefully she'd look past those and get to the better stuff.

Mari grinned up at him after a little moment, pulling the jacket up a little before padding back over at him and sticking her face close to his, a small laugh escaping her. "I would like that very much," she chirped, placing a few fingers under his chin to press a slightly longer kiss to his lips. It was amusing... he never really said anything nasty to her on purpose, and there was ontop once or twice she'd actually been shouted at, and it was only when he'd been injured or stressed out. She looked over her shoulder and thanked him with another light peck before wandering over to the living room. "I'll go grab some now," she chirped back to him before going through the little pile... she could see when things had gotten harder for him, and it did hurt... but the pile was pretty much in order of how he'd done them, but it also showed he good ones too. She took a few of the ones that he'd done while they were on honeymoon... it was ages ago now, but there weren't many of landscapes, even though they were really very good. She trapped a few of the horses and one of the kids playing about too... she wouldn't have to work hard to show them off, but it didn't mean she wouldn't try.

Sage let out a happy hum in response to her kiss, sort of letting his lips linger near hers once she'd pulled back, though he let her go bounce off to peer at the drawings as he finished cleaning lunch up. Once he was done there, he padded over at peer over her shoulders. "Which ones you take," he asked curiously, glangind through the ones she held in her hand before pecking the side of her head. He would have probably said something else, but by then Silas was begging him to come look at something, so he left Mari to do as she pleased and followed the boy down to his room, where he showed him some kind of odd sculpture. He stayed there for a bit before moving to the back patio, taking some old barn boards and such, as well as some shelves he made up quick and spaces for art and art supplies, as well as some chairs, including a cushiony one. He made sure to add lots of windows in, to let in light. It really was a nice, cozy space, he thought as he moved everything in and sort of looked around at the end.

The girl looked at the drawings curiously after a moment before giving him a happy little smile. "The beach, and a few of the horses," she turned to show a few to him before shrugging. "I'll see you in a bit," she hummed happily before wandering out the door. She went to see the doctor first.. she needed her pay for a weeks there anyway. Of course, he was shocked to see her, especially after so long, but she explained and he settled down. He gave her the pay, and she left to start shopping, showing a few people the art on the way if they seemed like the type to be interested.
