Sage sort of hummed lightly in response to her peck and then nodded along with her comment. "Alright, I'll get something in a minute," he promised her, glad for the kiss but at the same time, feeling a bit guilty about it all. At least now her lips were the last ones that were on his now, not the others. He watched her wander off before sighing and touching his lips before shaking his head and flopping back down onto the couch.

Mari furrowed her brows but gave a small nod, not really pushing it too much. He got a bit down sometimes, she knew that, but it didn't normally take much to get him giggling again. She wandered over to press a light kiss to his lips before smiling gently. "Make sure you eat, okay? You didn't have much last night either," she hummed softly to him before going to fishing up her cleaning and going to clean the kids rooms.

(I literally have lo clue what happened lmfao) Mari smiled softly to him and gave a light nod. "Promise?" She asked, though by then she'd already wondered off. Something a little bit odd about him, though she wasn't quite sure what. Not other than the fact he was a little bit quieter than usual. She was a little worried, but he always told her if something wasn't quite right, so she wasn't too concerned. Not as much as she could have been. She helped the kids tidy up before going outside with them to mess around for a little... just to take her mind off the cabin feaver the little house was giving her.

(Me either xD) Sage had sort of nodded with a light hum in response, though the girl had already left the room by then. He sort of just lay around for a bit, before forcing himself up. He figured he'd better make lunch, and get his mind out of the spot it was at. It didn't really work, though, and he managed to make a decent sized mess before food was ready. He moved on to cleaning up after that, of course, and managed to get everything neat enough before calling everyone back in for food.

Mari messed around with the kids for a little while, playing chase with Silas while Lizzie ran about in the grass. The cabin feaver by they had kind of gone, so when they were called in she felt a small rush of relief run through her, since Sage wasn't likely to cook anything unless he really felt like it. She ushered the kids in, and gave her husband a light grin before going over to press a few playful kisses to his lips. "Whatcha make?" She asked with a bit of a grin.

Sage felt a light smile cross his face when the kids all came scrambling back in, babbling happily about their fun time outside with mommy, as Silas put it. He hummed happily in response to Maris kisses, and sort of wrapped an arm around her waist as they moved towards the kitchen. "Found a steak in the back of the freezer and grilled some of that up," he hummed lightly. "That and some veggies I know the kids like," he added with a shrug. He released her after a moment to go help the kids get all settled before plopping down next to them. "I snacked while I was making it so I'm not super hungry," he commented after a moment. It wasn't exactly true...but he had taken a few bites of meat since it had smelled good. So it wasn't a complete lie either.

Mari grinned when she felt his arm wrap around her, and kind of held onto his arm when they wondered in. She sort of smiled when he explained the meal, and nodded happily. "Sounds good," she chirped to him before pecking his cheek and taking the plate from the counter and going to sit on the table happily... he definitely seemed better, so that was good. Like better than this morning, at least. She ate happily with the kids for a little while before they finished up and went to help Sage with all the washing up, sort of humming a little tune again.

Sage did try his best to pay attention to his family during dinner, and not let the bad thoughts in while they were talking. He probably definitely seemed down...and Mari seemed to recognize it, but a bad day here or there wasn't abnormal. Of course, this was worse than just a bad day, but she didn't know that. Part of him wanted to tell her, to get any help with this that he could. But he was terrified she'd get mad or... whatever. He wasn't sure what he thought. Once dinner was done, he sort of just resting his head on his arms, leaning against the table from where he was sitting with a sort of sigh. He should probably go help her clean up....he normally would ...but he just didn't have the mental energy to do anything more.
