Mari smiled softly to him abefore huffign out a soft breath. "You can stay warm," she teased softly before moving to wrap the blanket around him a bit tighter and moving to kind of rub her thumbs around his back. She sort of frowned before using the heel of her hand. "Jesus Sage," she huffed to him with a little chuckle, trying to work a few of the knots out. "You're rock solid," she huffed to him, trying to pinpoint just one to work on to start on.

Sage sort of chuckled along with her, humming happily when she wrapped the blanket tighter. He chuckled slightly in response to her comments about his back, and glanced over his shoulder to look at her. "What did you expect, hun," he mused with a sort of amused tone of voice. He'd been stressing beyond reason for days...and the actual day of the market hadn't helped his lower back at all. That was probably the worst of it. Unless he'd been tenser than he realized. That was always possible. But even so, if he'd asked for a back rub, she'd have assumed he was sore. It was just rather amusing, he supposed.

Mari sort of rolled her eyes at him before chuckling. "Not for it to be this bad," she mused lightly before moving to sort of straddle his lower back carefully so she could actually work away a couple of knots. "I didn't expect your whole back to be full of them," she mused to him, sort of digging her thumb into one of them until it started to disperse. The rest seemed a little bit easier... the ones a bit lower would be hard, just because it was an odd spot, but she didn't have to worry too much about that now.

Sage sort of hummed in slight amusement before settling down and resting his chin on his arms, shifting so she could straddle him easily. After all, if he could make it any easier for her he supposed he should probably do that. He sort of shrugged in response to her second comment, chuckling slightly. "I figured the top would be fine," he admitted. "It's not as sore there." It made sense though, he supposed...it did feel good now that she was getting the knots out, he supposed, which meant it had been sore. He probably had just been focusing on his lower back since that hurt more.

Mari sort of gave a little nod before shrugging and moving her hands lower, her eyes widening a little before chuckling. "Well, no wonder. It's worse the lower you get," she mused to him. "You've always had an awful back though," she teased him softly before starting to work as many of the knots out as she possibly could without hurting him too much. "You have a strong upper back but with everything going on I just guess you're weaker down here," she thought quietly before running her hands softly from his shoulders to his hips before leaning forwards to press a soft kiss to his neck before sliding off him.

Sage sort of chuckled when she noted that it really just got worse the lower she went. It made sense really...the sort of things he'd been doing in the tavern would have led to that...both rooms and being on his feet all day carrying things would have led to a strong upper back but a lower back that strained easily. It was slightly annoying at times, but he supposed he could deal with it. He grunted in agreement with her comment when she spoke up, humming happily in response to her peck before turning over so they could cuddle when she slid off of him. "Thanks, babe," he hummed, pecking here on the lips lightly. "It does feel a lot better," he admitted with a sort of laugh.

Mari couldn't help her little giggle at his little peck, and moved to press a lightly longer kiss to his lips when he curled up next to her. She hummed softly and rested a hand on his side as she shuffled in closer. "I'm glad," she chirped to him happily. She'd do anything at this point to make him feel even a little bit better... and it seemed to be working, she thought. Even if it was just taking his tightness away, she hoped it would help.

Sage hummed happily in response to her kiss, just curling up around her happily when she cuddled in. He sort of grunted sleepily in response to her comment, tucking his nose into her collar happily. He sort of drifted off then, tired and definitely relaxed and happy. He hadn't taken his medicine yet, but he was tired enough he wasn't sure it mattered. If he woke up he'd take it....but for now he was happy just to cuddle up and drift off to sleep with Mari.

Mari smiled softly when she felt him slipping around her, and all she could do was start to drift off... sleeping comfortably for as long as she could. It didn't take long for her to drift off, though, her sleep dark and comfortable. She woke up fairly late the next day, her forehead resting softly against his. He looked like he slept okay... which was good. She moved to wrap her fingers into his hair after a moment, letting out a heavy breath. "Hey babe," she whispered to him softly.

Sage had slipped off rather quickly once his eyes closed, and he slept rather well. He woke once around two in the morning, but after getting more comfortable he drifted off again. He sort of hummed softly when he heard her voice the next morning, giving her a sort of lazy kiss in response. He was still honestly half asleep, so it was honestly sort of sloppy, but whatever. She'd get the point.
