"it's...fine" she muttered, astonished by his transparency
| |
| |

"You sure?" I asked, a hint of worry etching my features.
| |
| |

She just nodded. "Good night" she muttered, continuing up the stairs
| |
| |

"Night, i'll be up there in a few, gonna clean up for the night. I love you," I called, awaiting a response as I started down the stairs.
| |
| |

"I love you too" she said, sighing as she sat down. Her stomach was getting huge from the baby and she hated her looks even more now

After wiping down the countertops and starting the night's load of dishes, I started upstairs, having showered downstairs as to not wake her if she was asleep. I slipped into out room, Murphy trailing slowly behind me.

Rose was sitting, scrolling and frowing
| |
| |

"Whatcha doin'?" I asked, flopping down before snaking closer.
| |
| |

"hating myself, spiraling, scrolling, the usual"
| |
| |

"No you're not, you're realizing you're the most beautiful human to ever step on this Earth, scrolling, and the usual." I corrected teasingly, looking up at her.
