Mari sort of smiled and went to close her eyes. "Good," she hummed gently to him. She looked at the canvas behind him, sort of peeking through her lashes quietly. "It looks good," she hummed gently to him before sort of giving a sigh. "You're so good at everything," she chuckled lightly to him, sort of shaking her head. She was still really tired, but more than happy to relax with her husband. Just somewhere quiet before the kids all awoke up.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her first comment, looking behind him when she mentioned the oainting, even though he knew it like the back of his hand at this point. He chuckled slightly and hummed as if in a sort of thought. "I don't know about that," he mused. "There's plenty of things I'm no good at," he chuckled. It wasn't like he was trashing himself or anything....he was really just thinking back to the times hed tried to flirt, or learn a dance for their wedding, or look at someone in a polite manner where he didn't scare them off before he even talked to them. It was all just amusing really. He sort of rocked the chair back and forth slightly, in an absentminded manner, just content to sit with Mari for a bit.

Mari gave a small chuckle-like hum before shaking her head. "But you're so good at everything you do," she sort of murmured. She felt a faint smile cross her face as he started to rock, sort of relaxing into him. It was strange, but it was the quiet moments like this she always wanted, especially when she was younger. The world was slowing down a little now, and she didn't actually mind. She buried her nose into his chest with a small sigh. "I like watching you work too," she added softly, still not really waking up. "And I've never seen you be bad at anything," she mused softly.

Sage chuckled lightly and shook his head slightly. "You should have seen me trying to learn to dance for our wedding," he mused in a rather amused tone of voice. "And you've been the victim of my flirting," he added with a chuckle. He sort of just tugged her in tighter when she curled in a bit more, humming when she said she liked watching him work. "You rarely come in here though," he mused. It was true...she didn't come in his art space unless she was getting him for something. He didn't mind if she came in though..he could talk and work at the same time.

The girl gave a small hum before shrugging. "You danced so well at our wedding," she mused softly before going to peck his neck lightly. "And our flirting is just as bad as each others, so it's fine," she mused to him. She sort of pouted at him, setting down on his lap again, "you always seem so busy," she huffed to him. "And I don't want to get in your way," she murmured softly to him, sort of flopping down on his chest again. "But I do like watching you do your thing... it's sweet," she murmured to him, just looking happy to settle down.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "You have no idea how hard I worked at that," he admitted with a slight laugh. Though, he hummed happily at her peck and rested his head against hers lightly. "I can work and talk at the same time," he mused with a shrug. "It's not like I have to worry about you flailing around and knocking anything over or whatever." The kids weren't really allowed in here, since neither he or Mari wanted them to accidentally ruin anything...though as they got older that wasn't such a worry anymore. Well for Silas at least....Liz was still young. But whatever. He hummed lightly in response to her last comment sort of just hugging her tighter for a moment when she flopped down again, squeezing her gently. "You know you're always welcome," he mused, before quieting down a bit, just happy to be there with her.

The girl gave a small smile before sort of shrugging. "You did an okay job," she chuckled lightly to him before pecking his lips again and sort of moving to rock the chair again. "I mean, the quicker you can get your work done the quicker I can have you to myself," she teased to him lightly. "And you never know. I might just trip and fall into one of these lovely paintings you've done," she mused to him with a bit of a chuckle. "I might get either killed or divorced, but you know, it'd be funny until that point," she joked to him before moving to press a few lighter kisses to his lips.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, humming happily when she pecked his lips. He rolled his eyes at her next comment and snorted. "Oh please, if you need or want me you know full well I wouldn't be able to say no and keep working," he noted with amusement. Though, when she mentioned she could trip and fall, he hummed in thought before shaking his head with a grin at her addition to it. "I dunno, I think the sight of you flailing around shocked and covered in paint might outweigh any other feelings," he teased her lightly, his smile turning into more of just a normal smile at her kisses, the mischievousness of it fading slightly.

The girl pouted at him after a minute before hugging out a breath. "I suppose that's true. You never have said no to me," she chuckled to him after a moment, kind of thinking about the last few years. Not even once had he said no to her. She did believe he would do anything for her, and she would do anything for him in return. "I feel that it would be quite funny myself," she mused to him. "Well, until I destroy a painting worth more than one of those foals. Well, when that happens, I'm not sure what if do. Probably start crying and trying to fix it," she mused to him. After a moment, though, she groaned when she heard the baby start to cry and the kids coming down the stairs. She tried to hide in Sages collar for a moment before shaking her head. "Go finish your art. I'm going to go and see to your children," she huffed before peeling herself off him and going to see to the little ones.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her comment, shrugging slightly. "There's never been a need to say no," he mused after a moment. It was true....he hadn't always agreed with her, but if they talked about it they'd come to an agreement. She'd never done anything to make him need to say no to her or something she wanted to do or... anything else. He chuckled in response to her next comments though, humming lightly. "I don't think crying would be necessary, though I can agree it would probably end that way, yes. Even though I've already told you it was fine," he teased lightly. He grunted in agreement when she moved to get up, reaching over to pull her in for a quick kiss before letting her go again. "I'll be in for breakfast soon," he promised, turning to pick up the paintbrush and start working again happily.
