Sage sort of sighed again in response to her comment and hung up another shirt, staying silent for a moment before shaking his head slightly. "Well I can't help if I don't know what you're upset about," he pointed out gently. "I want you to be happy, Mari, and I can't do that if you won't ever talk to me," he added, though in a voice that told her he wasn't mad....just worried. He somehow felt like this was still all his fault, but he didn't tell her that. He figured she already knew. He just picked up an empty basket and turned to go back in the house, mind still whirling with how he could possibly make everything right.

Mari just sort of nodded. She didn't really know what else to say, so... well, what could she say? I'm still angry at you, even though you've apologised and been nothing but wonderful to me? Yeah, no, that wasn't going to happen any time soon. She finished off soon enough, eventually going to wander back inside with a small sigh, the kids running past her to play outside before she went to go and sit on the couch with a heavy sigh, though not before running upstairs to grab a book of hers.

Sage sort of just went to put the empty basket he held away before the kids begged him to go play out in the yard, so he wandered out after them, settling himself in his studio where he could easily see them out of the windows but still get some work done. The large painting he'd been working on was done, just waiting to be delivered. Other than that, paintings and drawings of large, obscure figured and odd looking monsters filled the room....he'd done a few of his monsters when he and Mari had first started arguing, and they'd sold like crazy. He supposed people liked the monsters from someone who's brain created them and used them in awful ways. So...the studio was definitely a rather scary mood to it as of then.... honestly, it was a lot like it was in his brain. Not right then....things had gotten a bit better....but if they sold well, then he'd paint them. It got them out of his head somewhat anyway.

Mari sat for a long while, just reading... trying to occupy her mind in the only ways she knew. She felt awful that Sage had given up his baby because she wasn't happy with it... she felt awful that in every way shape and form, it was her fault. They didn't know if the kid would end up in a bad place. But one thing for sure, they'd done exactly what his mother had done to him. He'd never know his father, or his siblings... and the guilt was eating her up. She sighed and went to wander into the art studio, sort of looking a bit defeated, but went to wrap her arms around Sages shoulders where he sat, staying quiet but burying her nose into his neck.

Sage half jumped when he felt Maris as wrap around him, but paused in his painting to lean back into her with a soft sigh, reaching up to pat her arm lightly and murmuring a soft "hey babe," more than happy to just let her cuddle up however she wanted. Or, as it seemed, needed right then. He didn't know what was going through her mind, or why she was still so upset about whatever, but if she was the one coming to him, hopefully that meant she was healing from whatever it was.

Mari didn't really reply to him, rather sort of just stood there... she felt awful, awful thag she was still angry about the whole thing, but just feeling so guilty at the same time. She didn't know what to say my, or how to say it, but she hoped he'd get the idea. She was so sorry about everything, that she'd let herself get so frustrated, and that she'd gotten so angry at him, and left Sage feeling so upset too... she didn't want him to think there was anything wrong, though there must have been.

Sage sort of just sighed after a moment, seeming to get the fact that Mari just felt bad, so he set his brush in the jar of water that was sitting there and gently moved to get up and tug her over to the all couch like chair in the corner, sitting down and letting her sit down next to him and curl up. He didn't say anything, just wrapped his arms around her, waiting for her to talk. She would when she was ready....and until she was he wasn't going to push her. It was only right.

Mari sighed and moved to follow him, talking small steps but keeping up dumbly. She didn't know how to tell him what she felt... but she could at least sit with him, for a little while, anyway. She signed and sort of moved to wrap an arm around his side once she flopped down, her forehead resting softly on his shoulder. She was still trying to figure out how to word everything. He'd been good to her. Patient and kind, and he deserved to at least hear why she was acting the way she was.

Sage sort of just let Mari do what she wanted...he was just glad that she'd sought him out. It meant she couldn't be all that mad at him. Which was definitely a main cause of relief, and the way his shoulders relaxed a bit. He curled into her slightly, enough to nonverbally tell her he cared, but not enough to make her want to back away for whatever reason. He just wanted her to be happy...and he did hope that it would come, even if it took time. But he kept quiet, waiting for her to do what she wanted. And he had a feeling she didn't want him asking a bunch of questions or anything. And he was ok with that.

Mari just sat there for a little bit... she supposed she was just happy that he wasn't angry at her for getting upset. Well, right now it didn't seem that way, so... it must have all been fine, right? She certainly hoped so. After a moment of leaning on him, she sort of moved to wrap her arms around his waist and rested her head on his lap, sort of burying her face into his stomach.
