Mari nodded to him. She knew for sure that she needed to relax a little bit. But she still just felt so... guilty. Sage had said she needed to get over it, but she wasn't sure if she actually could. And, while the house was immaculate, she did need to stop waking up at five in the morning to dust the same spot for an hour. She sighed and eventually went to press a soft kiss to his lips. "And I'm still angry at you," she mused softly before sort of shrugging. "I haven't a clue why, but I am," she then added.

Sage sort of hummed lightly in response to her kiss, and shrugged slightly with a chuckle. "Well, I'm never not angry at myself for something so it no wonder we get along," he mused. He'd tried to make it into a joke, but it really didn't wind out sounding like one. He probably just sounded like he was trying to make a joke out of something in a false positive sense....which he sort of was. But whatever. "Besides, it doesn't seem to be affecting you too much," he added with a slight tone of amusement. He squeezed her again before sighing. "Just te to relax a bit, yeah? You'll feel better after that," he pointed out, pressing another kiss to her head and going back to the current monster he'd been working on painting. He was only like two feet away from her.....so she could talk if she wanted to. But he did have to get this done sometime soon.

The girl sort of furrowed her brows at his comment, but shrugged quetly anyway. She never wanted him to be upset with himself. He brought nothing but good to all her families lives, so why would he ever be angry at himself? She didn't know, she didn't think about it too much. Sort of watched him paint got a de minutes before sighing and going to sit in bed for a bit, just to get comfortable... to relax, like he said.

Sage was more than happy to let her just rest while he worked, though when she wandered off to the bed he felt a soft smile cross his face. Good, she could have some time to herself to relax, since the kids were still playing outside. Soon enough though, he'd finished the monster he was working on and realized it was most definitely dinner time, so he wiped his hands off and called the kids in for food. He made something up quick and settled the kids before making a tray to bring up to Mari, sliding into the bedroom quietly and setting the tray on the side table, pecking her gently on the head. "Dinners ready," he murmured quietly.

Mari fell asleep after a moment or two, really only waking again when she heard Sages voice. She sort of smiled and nodded sleepily, takinf a moment to just... breathe she supposed before settling down again. She thanked him before sitting up to slowly snack. She wasn't too hungry, she supposed. She'd eaten earlier, her she'd sort of snack on this for as long as she could. "The kids all sorted?" She asked him quietly, sort of rubbing her eyes.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded in response to her comment, sitting down on the bed next to Mari as she sort of slowly woke up. "They're finishing up eating downstairs," he said quietly, not wanting to be too loud. He reached over to tuck a stray bit of hair out of her face before giving her a light smile. "Silas said he'd clean everything up for you, though I'm not sure the dishes will get done," he noted with slight amusement. The boy meant well, but most of the time if he did chores like that, they normally weren't perfectly done. But that was alright...he was trying. And it was rather sweet.

Mari sighed and gave a small nod. "Let him do it. I'll fix it in the morning if need be," she mused. Plus, if the boy was willing to do it, she saw no reason to intervene. It would just make him hate his chores more, and she didn't want that at all.... he was a good kid. "At least he's doing them," she added softly. She thanked him again before starting to eat a little bit. She'd put his name down for the local school, too... they could afford it now, so she just wanted to give him the best chance in life that they could.

Sage chuckled slightly and nodded. "He wants to help out," he hummed fondly. "He's a good kid." Liz was wonderful too, of course, but she was still rather young to be doing too mnay chorse around the house. Even silas had to pull a chair up to the counter to wash the dishes still. Once Mari started to eat, Sage sort of just flopped backwards onto the bed with a tired huff of air, closing his eyes for a few moments before opening them again, just sort of staring at the ceiling. It was nice and quiet though, here, and peaceful, so he didn't at all mind. It was nice to just...sit for a moment, he supposed.

Mari smiled in response... it was true. She hoped the boy would turn into a hard working young man when he got older. He would, she was sure if it. She sighed once she was done and sort of put everything to the side once he was done. "Thanks," she hummed again before flopping down next to bjn sign a small huff of air. (super shot in busy!!)

Sage sort of just hummed lightly in response to her comment, reaching over to pat her leg gently, alibet tiredly in a sort of response. After a while of just laying there, though, he got up with a sigh, knowing the kids would be finishing up and ready for him to actually come supervise. Sort of. He didn't really want to get up and out of bed. But, he knew he had to...and it would make it all the nicer later on when he went to get to bed. So, he was ok with it for now. He liked the kids too, of course, so once he got up he knew he'd be fine.
