The Kingdom of Ardel was overrun by enemy forces. Soldiers took the capital and spread chaos, destroying everything in their reach. In a desperate effort to save their lives, a group of fugitives boarded a ship and set sail. They were hoping to reach the far side of the kingdom's borders, but a massive storm swept the ship off course. The high winds and crashing waves took them within sight of land, but before they could recognize their surroundings, the ship hit a rocky shoal and splintered into pieces. The fugitives' lives would have ended there, if it hadn't been for a group of people who witnessed the entire thing from the shore. This small group has now gotten into rowboats and approaches quickly. However, unknown to the survivors, these people are citizens of the very country that overthrew their own. What will happen when the two parties meet? Will there be more bloodshed, or will both sides put down their differences? As they sail to the rescue, only time will tell how this story will end. 1. All of HEE's rules apply here 2. Be as active as you can. 1-2 posts a week would be preferred. If you cannot be as active or need to step out, please let me know. 3. As this roleplay is more on the realistic side, please make your own characters realistic as well. No wings, horns, superpowers, etc. 4. Due to there only being a certain number of spots, you can have a maximum of 2-3 character. I can allow more characters if there is a large enough demand for them. 5. This is a Semi-Literate to Literate roleplay, so character sheets must be 300+ words, while roleplay posts must be 150+ words. Good grammar must be applied as well. If you are struggling with the word count due to writer's block, just let me know and I'll do what I can to help. 6. Reservations last for 48 hours. If you want to extend your reservation, just ask me. I will grant it as long as you give a good enough reason. 7. No perfect characters, please! Make sure your character has an equal amount of strengths and weaknesses. 8. Do not control other people's characters. If you've read this far, put your character's favorite color in other. 9. Do not have your character land every hit and dodge every blow. 10. You must ask for permission to kill or critically injure another person's character. 11. No OOC (Out Of Character) drama. This story takes place in a medieval world with two kingdoms, one of which has conquered the other. Ardel, the conquered kingdom, was known for its abundant farmland and forests. There was no shortage of livestock, and many of the most talented musicians called it home. However, it was never known for any skill with ships...clearly. Valtir, the conquering kingdom, takes pride in its mountain ranges and architecture. The capital is escpecially known for this, and one of the most prominent structures is a vast white castle nestled on the edge of a steep cliffside. Valtir, unlike Ardel, is also known for its military might and skill in anything regarding ships. However, it does not had very good farming or pastureland.
