John is a hard, rough man that believed in hard work making things happen. Alaska was tought that you work for what you want, that you should always be confident and keep your chin up. She was also pushed to the limits with riding, every day riding for hours on end, switching from horse to horse, ever since she was 5. Suffering a very bad fall when racing, breaking her back, after Alaska got out of the hospital everyone was absolutely amazed when she begged to get back on the same horse. After she got cleared to ride again, she got right back on and raced that same stallion, winning. That showed how strong her personality and drive was. Soon she got sent a letter to be accepted into the academy, and she was overjoyed... hours upon hours of riding. Instead of paying for her entry, even John was rich enough he could, he made her accept a job as an exersice rider... which Alaska accepted with absolute joy, knowing it was even more horses she could ride. The one thing she stays steady in is her love for her owner, Alaska. Haunt is energetic and quick to make decisions if you don't tell her what to do. She can be a little nippy with other horses, but has not been known to strike out. PSA: somehow, almost half a decade after creating this, this thread is gaining traction again. The summary is outdated. The character list is outdated. It might be difficult to slot in, especially given that the current writers have been here pretty much from the start. I'm not particularly active, and might not view sign-ups often. Just thought ill stick them all in one place) My Horses: Name: Angel Age: 15 Gender : Stallion Rider : Francesca Appearance : 16.1 Pearly white traditional looking Lipizzaner stallion, Wavy hair down to the floor often braided up into 3 running braids due to its thickness. He’s thick set and muscular, yet surprisingly agile for an older horse. He has a kind eye set into a broad face. Personality : A true gentleman. He’s gentle and kind-natured to all he comes across. He follows Fran around much like a dog, and has the calm temperament to match. Training : Schoolmaster in Haute Ecole and the airs above ground. Is used to teach dressage, skilled in liberty. Name: Ruebelle Age: 16 Gender: Mare Rider: Sam/ Cam Appearance : Stocky 15.2 all black shiny Thoroughbred. Has a neat white star beneath her pulled forelock. Impeccable mane and tail, never has a spec of dirt on her. Personality: Strong- willed mare, Always in need of a purpose and does not like to faff in any way.She likes her routine, her 2 handlers. She is a one-person kind of horse, although she is not as opposed to Cam being around her now. Training: Took Sam up the levels in polo, and was a very talented and experienced polo horse. She had a tendon injury last year, when Sam decided to retire her to just hacking.Cam is tenderly bringing her back to dabble in dressage just to keep her mind active. Name: Toulouse Age : 6 Gender: Mare Rider: Sam Appearance: 15.1hh Slimmer build of thoroughbred, due to her age. Shiny black coat, All black with no white markings. Her mane is pulled to perfection. Personality: A level headed horse for her age, also a fan of routine and enjoys her work. She loves to please,cares for love and attention. Incredibly friendly with anyone she comes across, and is inquisitive so enjoys searching people for treats. Training: Recently started polo training, although more focused toward eventing training now due to Sam’s potentially permanent retiring from polo. Name: Beaufort Age: 8 Gender: Gelding Rider: Sam Appearance: 16hh Dark grey thoroughbred. Pulled black mane, slick shiny coat plastered in dapples. He has a broken blaze down his face, sturdy looking legs that give a long ground eating stride. A fit but slender physique, making him rather agile over fences. Personality: Really easy going gelding, enjoys his work but is an incredibly easy ride – the sort that makes anyone look like an excellent rider.He’s very settled in any scenario and generally has no vices other than napping if doing a lot of flatwork. Really enjoys jumping, is very careful with leg placement and able to get his rider out of trouble with ease. Training: Began on track but was simply too laid back to race. Was then training in polo, but doesn’t seem to have the competitive fire in his stomach like the mares so has been retraining in jumping. Really suits XC. |
