And my barn owner, the one that does, is SO busy. She is on several club and show committees, she teaches lessons, and she has summer camps.
Right now, I and the instructors are splitting the barn work. We have a couple minors who help around the place but cannot do everything.

Uh yeah. If you are training an animal, it is the trainers fault for getting hurt. Especially if they are training without the owner being present- which is a normal practice here. My barn is sending the 2 year old to a trainer once she hits 3, not enough people at the barn know how to fully and safely break a youngster.

I get that stuff happens but she shouldn't have punished u knowing the risks of a job like that

@Puck, thanks. I am probably more upset at the barn owner who took over his training sessions and said she was doing them when she wasn't and scammed me out of $1,000

@Dawns, she had my permission to do training sessions with him and I would pay her for them. Just an all around unfortunate situation.

I mean, being 'responsible' for the horse is one thing, but as a trainer you assume risks and you know that you're training. Hell, I got on a horse today that launched off the ground whenever I put my right leg on, and I didn't blame the owner, I told her I'd help her with it, because my job is to help the owner not to blame them wtf

See my first thing would of been is why you touching my horse without me present

I felt really bad and it was a freak accident, but since I couldn't talk to her, I couldn't really apologize.

Yeah, that's super unprofessional. She was probably embarrassed that she fell, or was doing something to make him spook and it was her fault

And yeah that is the risk you take when doing anything with horses, injuries.
Even the most bombproof horses can have a day. Ben acted up with me in the warm up ring, bouncing around. He did the same in our final lesson before that show too. No pain, nothing wrong, just did not want to go faster than a slow walk.

Well clearly she done soemthing it wasn't your fault and she wasn't a good enough friend to get over the fact of it

Souls - it's always the 'owner' that is responsible. Be it horse, dog, cat, cow, whatever.

@Dawns, I don't know. I wasn't even present at the barn when it happened. Unfortunately, she seemed to blame me though. She was a really good friend and then poof, everything changed.

Depends on the snake Hummer. I am used to ball pythons. But maybe I can find a chart for you for Hognoses 😃

At my barn everyone who even leads a horse has to sign a waiver. Even employees. My trainer has had that happen one too many times. If she catches anybody without a waiver in the pasture even, you are gone.

When I briefly owned a horse, he was working with my trainer and he spooked she fell under him. He accidentally kicked her and gave her a traumatic brain injury. I had to move barns because the trainer stopped speaking to me completely and would leave when I was at the barn.

Hi! Welcome to the IAAB!
I am Lunar Wilds, you can call me Luna if you would like.
I created this club in hopes to ease my process with AA matching and to find others who would like to do the same!
I am currently working towards my goals of breeding high rated foals with the goal to eventually breed WWW and would love if anyone would like to join in on the journey.
This club's purpose is to have open communication on breed matching, breeder needs, and anything else under the sun about HEE(and your life if wanted.)
Happy playing and have fun!
