I gave this book a 3/5 stars. I will explain why in the rest of this post- . - I was a little annoyed at the beginning of this book I felt like it dragged on a bit before getting to the actual story.
- I believe he began with these points just to get a back story on who Charlie was and what he has been through, but I feel it could have been done in way less pages and less detail.
- I was so confused about this. Would he have said Earth? America? or what lol
- I feel like the book had this huge lead up and so much action then it kind of ended uneventfully.
- I didn't know this book was going to be the typical found prince saving this fantasy world. I was hoping it would be more of him just finding this world that would eb a combination of different fairy tales and his exploration of it. Kind of disappointing.
- (See 5)
- I have read Grimm's Fairy Tales, but it has been quite a few years, and I am not very knowledgeable on fairy tales, so sadly I didn't make any connections unless they were stated in the book.
- I have read many books from King and I have a lot of 5 stars from him. I also have many more of his books on my physical and overall TBR so of course I will be reading more lol.
. As I said in my answers to the questions overall I was just disappointed with how this book went and I definitely feel it could have been a way shorter book. It was still a good book but not what I was wanting it to be. I have said many times before though I am not a fantasy reader so that didn't help lol.
