I have a little mare her rating is PPP. Her sire and Dam are both EEE. Both are LB horses. Both have produced amazing LB horses. Don't know what happened when she came along but I was wondering if her offspring will follow her PPP rating or if she could have some hidden talent waiting to emerge in her offspring? She will mature to breeding age this coming RO. Was wondering if I should breed her to a nice stallion or just put her up for brood? Looking for opinions please.

She's probably a product of the random factor. As 25% of a LB rating comes from the foals, she'll probably knock her parents down quite a bit, so that's one thing to consider.
I personally fr any PPP or lower or use them as showing horses. However if you like and have the means you can send her to a proven stud on RO and see how she does. You can never tell how well a mare produces until you've tested her. Training won't tell you. You could still fr her after that....
Depending on her breed you won't get much brooding her. 1-2 k at the most, especially as she's untested.

Welcome to the world of RF. She probably won't amount to much unfortunately. Brood her.

The Elite rating was introduced for the top notch Premium rated horses. So every PPP foal out of an EEE might probably miss the Elite cut-off by just 0.01 points ;)
As long as you are new to the game and try to get started, you could keep and test those PPP fillies if you want to. Only because most of the top LB breeders auto free range PPP foals does not mean that they all are completely weak.
You can hardly ever tell without testing ;)

That is kind of what I was thinking. I plan on testing her with one of my stallions. I do not have any EEE but I do have a couple EEP. That should be strong enough to see if she can be a good Brood. It just hurts as both her parents are in the top 10 on the LB and she herself is gorgeous nice color and markings.
